In my honest opinion I think that reward should be higher than Collateral. It Prevents ganks. it should be like that because players are risking their ships and expensive its expensive. EvilEvilEvilEvil
That's something for CCP to Review or the consul to discuss
Lets stop ganking in HIGH SEC. and this is for CCP---- HIGH SEC means High Security System (no ganking allowed) what so ever. and don't give me the example in the normal society we have the police and crime happens because if that's case in the normal society we don't have vaporize people after the crime is committed. Thanks Allot for reading my suggestion.

There's a difference between "high" and "absolute". CCP intended hisec to be the former, not latter.

Real life comparisons are irrelevant to video game. We want different things there and here.

Regardless of how high reward is vs collateral, it won't stop ganking. Collateral scamming goes under assumption that reward will never be paid unless scammers royally screw up, and regular gankers don't care about contract existing at all.

Um, I think I covered all points.

I have read your saulty tears mate. I'm honestly willing to give you a hug, but you are far away from me.
I feel your pain, and i assume u did pick up a courier contract with collateral 1b and reward hmmm lets say 20m, and right after your hauler met it's logical end. Not sure what ship u did fly, and i really hope u did insure it but there was official reply from CCP rep. that CCP are not responsible for your security in high sec system. They are game developers not the police service.
Learn to fly safely and you would be good.

And yes, this thread will be locked anyway cause we read that so many times already.

"The message is that there are known knowns. There are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say there are things that we now know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know" - CCP

First off I think your suffering from misinformation HiSec means higher security not absolute safety.

Now onto your proposal, courier contracts are just that a contract the terms being set by an individual or organisation and being accepted by an individual or organisation. If someone is willing to haul my cargo for me for say a 20 mil fee and accepts the collateral of 1 bil that is entirely up to them, they have free will and if they don't want the job they don't have to accept the contract.

Oh and by the way, what ever gave you the idea that EvE is anything like a normal planet bound society? EvE if you hadn't noticed is a society comprised of body jumping super rich (by planetary standard) immortals to whom death at worst is a minor inconvenience on a par with stubbing ones toe.

Colleteral i ssupposed to be higher than the value of goods (so you cna just accept a contract and sell the stuff for profit)
If the reward is higher than the colleteral it will also be higher than the goods, making it cheaper to just buy what you need where you need it and effectivly removing courier contracts

So I should pay a minimum of 1 billion ISK to move goods that are worth 1b billion ISK? Are you high?
