Forgotten Escalations / 24hr Timer

How many times have you forgotten you had escalations and missed the 24 hour timer even if it was just to reset it?

Isn't it about time CCP changed this pointless time and increased it? Maybe 5 days? 7 days?

Is getting annoying having to login every 24 hours to make sure you reset it or miss it completely...

There is enough waiting and RNG in this game already?

So you want to implement a change that allows you to wait longer? Also I am unsure of what RNG is affecting your ability to complete an escalation within the 24 hour period.

I probably just ate the bait, but at least it was filling. Sad

Well its a little frustraiting to get a escalation on the last site you are doing for the evening and you know you wont be able to complete it because you wont be able to log in the next day.

Happens to me quite often and I would love to see the expiration time increased at least to 48h to give people with a unregular online time a little more flexibility to do the escaliation when they actually have time to do it.

unlucky then maybe do sites when you know you can finish and have enough time or just sell them on a contract, why should they be changed just so you can wait longer, damn bpc prices are low enough already without giving people more time to do them

God forbid you actually have to play the game yourself once a day after botting/afking anoms all day long.

Oh and to answer your first question: never.
Though I have refused to wake up at 3am to put another skill in the skill que. This game just gets harder all the time hehehe

I found that to be very funny +1 :)

..however, the 24hrs expiry time can be and is very restrictive to those and any of us that do endure time constraints within EvE, I have more time than most (as being retired has it's perks lol) but still a small expanding of that window of say to 36/48hrs for running escalations (yes even I like to Jew it up too) would be a huge quality of life boon and considering the recent anomolies/escalation iterations would I believe have minimal impact on the overall EvE economy.

It's not a re-inventing of the wheel thing, it's a more of a so much too do and so little time thing.

You haven't been able to reset escalations for 2 years now. If you are going to complain, at least know what you are talking about.

As for escalations, 48 hours would be nice.

i think 48hours would do more harm than good with overfarming

Maybe, but DED plexes are due for a rewards re-evaluation anyway imo. P_ersonally i always though DED plexes should drop more blueprints than modules.

Oh and 'overfarming' right now is only really a problem in the Imperium held north, where i live, loot is still worth something lol.

I say remove timer all together. Some stay longer than 24, some less. Escalations are illicit sites that earn nice rewards. Gotta take it out before they move on. Also, should trigger like other exploration sites. Once in, is just time til they evacuate. Need to see through to completion once started.

To quote Lfod Shi

The ratting itself is PvE. Getting away with it is PvP.

With players now being condensed into certain area's of space (game changes) I would suggest that over-farming across the board is already a thing and so a moot point.

OP, your name - at first glance - looks suspiciously like an ISD name...I'm not saying you're trying to impersonate a member of ISD, but...just saying.

Extending the expedition timer to 48 hrs would be a good change, especially since players don't have the option anymore to reset the timer when warp to site.

Personally I liked the old game mechanic of the 24 hr expedition timer being reset with warp to site. That allowed players who were pressed for time to at least keep the site active for later when they had time to play. I'd rather have that mechanic implemented again instead of extending the timer. Course have the ability to reset the timer limited to just 7 days like mission completion timer.

CCP stated the reason for the removal of the timer reset was due to players scanning the Overseer / Commander NPC and then resetting the timer and waiting for Downtime to scan again to get better loot drop.

The correct solution would have been to make the Overseer / Commander NPC cargohold immune to scanning. The same thing should have been done to containers in complexes and hacking sites as well.

That change would have eliminated cherry picking and basically turned exploration back into what it's suppose to be, something unknown.
