As far as I know, no, they've never wiped out inactive accounts. And if they ever do, they will delete the whole character or account, not just the items and ships.

If you don't remember selling your stuff before the break, then create a support ticket and the GM's may be able to look at the logs when you last played and tell you what happened. We players can't really help with this, support ticket is the only way.

Chances are you reactivated the wrong account, that certainly never happened to me Roll

. Assuming you used the same email address you can log into account management and check which other accounts are linked to your email, then check them all. If not the contact support and ask them to help you.

If it turns out you added time to the wrong account they'll move the remaining time to the proper account, if you ask them nicely.

At least I read on that. I don't have an inactive trial to find out. Some skills were removed and the SP reimbursed so you could reallocate. To quote Lfod Shi The ratting itself is PvE. Getting away with it is PvP.

False, CCP has never removed characters and hopefully never will. All they did was remove the names from the inactive trial accounts. Source

You mention that it was a very long time ago. The learning skills were removed some years ago so if it is these you are referring to they were refunded back to anyone who had trained those skills. If this sounds like it might be the case, check your character sheet and see if there is an "unallocated skillpoints" figure near the top.

Then go to the API Jackknife and enter the api details and look through you accounts.

That sounds like a brand new character to me.
Are you sure you are logging into the correct character and not on a created but never used alt on the same account?
Just eliminating possibilities.

Here I used to have a sig of our old Camper in space. Now it is disregarded as being the wrong format. Looking out the window I see one thing: Nothing wrong with the format of our Camper! Silly CCP......
