How do I drop roles and become a regular member of my corp?

I'm the director of my corp and my alt character is the CEO. How do I make Boozbaz a regular member of this corp so he can accept an invitation to join another corp?

I know that I can just quit my corp and get auto-dumped into an NPC corp, but I'm trying to keep my employment history as short as possible.

*Edit* never mind I figured it out. Right click my name in corp member list, go to "quite corp" then click on "drop all roles" - I stay in the corp but I lose all my roles.

You're always going to have an NPC membership in your employment history, as you can't move seamlessly from player corp to player corp without passing through Aliastra or whatever.

Are you sure about that?

You always have to quit your existing corp before joining another.

You can join new corps without falling into the npc ones first.

I'm not sure exactly what you have to do step by step op but if you jump into the "Help" channel in game someone will know and be able to tell you straight away.

I figured it out, thank you.

1. Go to corp member list
2. Right click on your own name
3. Mouse over "quit corp"
4. Click on "drop roles"

Bam, all roles dropped and you can then join a new corp without any problem.

Not quite - after you drop roles you need to wait 24 hours before you can join another player corp. If you simply quit to NPC corp, you can join a new corp instantly.

You can switch from one player corp to another player corp straight away without requiring to be in an NPC corp. Drop your roles, as you've done, wait out the timer and accept the corp invitation from that new corp, while still in your current corp.

I'm pretty sure that's still the case today.

You can quit corp and go straight into an NPC corp, and then go straight into a new player corp.

Or you can drop roles, wait 24 hours in your current corp, then go seamlessly into the new player corp.

At least that's how I understand it to work.

Yes you can. Just accept an offer.

Will confirm it when I get home.

Examples:
* Me

I dropped corp once after creating a corp and closing it ~14 hours later (after the next downtime). I had forgotten that corp standings take a week (for a POS - no longer necessary), so we just moved to a friend's corp instead.

You can also do that from your portrait in chat channels, or wherever.
