Multiple training certificate are currently priced significantly higher than plex.
Now THAT is an indicator.Shocked

No point redeeming plex for aurum, Buying these and reselling them though, there is only a tiny volume due to their overpricing.

It is looking like someone has primed Plex for a crash and Just waiting for players to provide the final push.
Almost no support left above a billion and almost none left below either!

This thread was VERY appropriate and well timed!

Edit: Buy orders starting to come in to provide support, Whether they end up being collateral damage at this point remains to be seen, supportive Numbers are not tremendous, Even a limited direct action will crash through these and leave people with an expensive experience and they provide a means for people to dump some of their stock and take their profits, but not many to go around.

Like REALLY cashed out. all at the same time.
I know quite a few of us are currently sitting on piles of the damn things, just pushing the price up as far as we can take it. theres not really anything stopping the price from going up anymore since this has become the MD minigame, kind of like doodlejump on my phone.

but what if someone would just take that stockpile, decide "f it I'm out" and dump, say, 1k units on the market?
sure, the daily trade volume is like 3000 (heard someone say so in SCC 5 minutes ago) but what would happen if the plex price dropped down, even for a moment, to wherever the 1k stack would drop us?

just counting quickly by hand, jita doesnt have enough buy orders to support 1k plex. hell, jita doesnt support enough buy orders to support 500 units! so after jita is downed, then amarr, dixie and rens (since them combined is probably gonna be less than jita) we'd have emptied the buy orders.

what would happen? would people simply put up new orders at the same price as before (currently 1.3B) and move on? or would the itch start and would plex take a serious hit while people scramble to get their sales in?

more importantly, what would this do for the rest of the eve economy?
imagine plex being like 250 mil again...

anyway,
Derp.

Well, look at the supporting numbers of buy orders in Jita now?

It appears that "someone" has primed the pump, waiting for someone to pull the handle!

"See? Players did it for themselves, the market worksRoll" Big smile

If you were serious about your Idea, there is unlikely to be a better time to implement it.
Some kind "person" has set it all up for you to do.
You wouldn't need to worry about the other markets, just keep gank ships on the Jita undock !Twisted

Look at what happens to the PLEX prices when there's a big sale on them. They tend to fall 5-10% then slowly creep back.

If you are sitting on 1T worth of PLEX you could probably get 0.98T for it and impact the market. Someone or a group sitting on 5T or 10T worth would have a bigger impact but still I expect the fundamentals behind PLEX prices would remain strong.
