Sentry Drone Firing Animation

Anyone else think it's kind of wimpy looking compared to the firing animations of other large weapons?

I think it could use a little love so that they look a little more legitimate graphically.

You can't even tell if they're firing or not half the time.

Rogue drones, sleeper rats and mission towers don't have any animation either.

Or he just thinks the game is bloody dated and needs an update to look somewhat fresh again?

I agree we need more animations, I believe there was a trailer with a few dominixes firing at a planet that CCP released and the sentry animation of deployment and fire sequence was really well done. Now if we can see something similar in-game that would be great.

I personally would like to see more damage effects, so what a weapon hits your ship, it actually does some visual damage to it, even if it's just a texture. And when your ship is in hull, it doesn't just get 1 tiny ass flame and a bit of smoke, but something a bit more dramatic.

All of this should be switchable to ON or OFF for those who run less powerful machines of course.

I'm serious with this...

Drones have in space models? All I ever see are brackets and super faint shot trails from those brackets. How the hell are you seeing models? Are they the size of grains of sand?

Perhaps you are way too zoomed out or have low resolution? I don't know, but I can see mine perfectly fine. (assuming we are talking about sentries here)

The way they look and their animations could all be looked at. But that'll probably come in time.
