Is it just me that finds AT13 intrigue exciting?

I personally love the intrigue and drama. I love the fact that ATs get fixed, matches get thrown and spies infiltrate everything, it's all a valuable part of EVE.

When it comes to the rules, I think it has to go one way or the other, but it has to go all the way either way.

For a viewer friendly e-sport the rules have to be tight, inflexible and enforceable. The tournament structure has to discourage collusion. The game has to be profitable to win, and nothing else.

For an authentic EVE sandbox experience, it has to be no holds barred. But that isn't going to be easy or popular to watch, and it's already readily available to the consumer in the everyday EVE experience and the many videos and streams generated by it.

But when you have a tournament with rules and players that intend to win, they will push all the way up to the boundaries of those rules, because that's what you have to do in order to win.

Then, obviously, there are situations where people overstep the boundary. Like Elise Randolph o7 and like HYDRA/Outbreak in ATIX, the final of which was a regrettable **** up.

Check the kill mails of the second match yourself, no support ship had any kind of RECCM or projected ECCM, the fleet phoons were using Conjunctive Ladar ECCM Scanning Array I, which is the local ECCM, Phased Muon ECCM Caster would have been 1 possible choice for projected ECCM but they did not field it, they did not use any projected ECCM. You can verify this on zkill. But hey maybe the killmails were also being tempered with....

This also excplain why the Oneiros was perma jammed and did not land ANY reps at all. Which was the reason that made me check kill mails in the first place since during the entire tournament no team fielding ECM was so lucky as to perma jam the logi, some teams including PL if I remember correctly had matches where they did not land a single jam cycle on any ship outside the smaller support stuff. If you know the Logi can be easily jammed you can rig the match perfectly well by brining some extra Gallente jammers and still keep up a front pretending it was just skill and luck and that is exactly what happened here.

It would also explains why the phoons were taken out so quickly and primaried first since someone knew the logi would be pretty much out of the game the entire match.

both of the bombers in the match vs the tinker with double n. scorp, double widow, had a remote eccm and a remote sensor booster. which would be their second match in the first series. KMs for that match are on page 4 of the pe1-r1 system over at zkill. Heck looking at that match on null-sec it almost looks like if they got a better bump on the tengu they might have won. Looking at losses from the finals, warlords looks to have brought remote eccm and/or remote sebos on frigs/bombers even when ECM wasn't used.

with shield logi bans I would totally expect warlords or camel to bring an oneiros over a guardian. Heck at one point they banned the onerios and brought an exequror. that said they did swap around the logi pretty often.

The same should be said about the supercap scammer that forced CCP to change the EULA so that you can't even impersonate your main with your alts.

Thing is you are not even impersonating it then ... and yet according to the rules you are.I think CCP is to deep into ''eve is reall'' .. Roll

In regards to the AT being rigged ... well they wanted to make an e-sport out of it so then it should be rigged just like a lot of other sports have that.

We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid.

To be honest the blame for this scandal is 100% on CCP's head; they could and should have known about this and should make sure to punish those responsible appropriately to put off would be mimics.

This post brought to you by CCP's alpha forum alt initiative. Playing the eve forums has never come cheaper.
