Hey, I am flying trough space aprox 23k km going 4.6k m/s, and just passed trough a planet, CCP make it more realistic and have me crash land and join/ get killed by mercs, or have it where we crash and die or burn up in the atmosphere

Dude i have safe spots in several moons and planets.... Welcome to a game of knife fighting submarines in liquid space...

Hilariously close to the bouncepoint at the middle.. So close that if you warp to me you get bounced in all probability...

+1 for mentioning the flaws of celestials.

+1 for getting rid of the "safer" safe spots.

Ideas are like Seeds. I'd chop fullgrown trees to start a fire.

Wondering, if CCP did make them solid how would you suggest a ship that hits one reacts?

They dont have to make them solid.

Just put a damage cloud around them. Wich gets stronger when you get closer.
So you can "burn up" properly.

This guy has a brilliant idea, an effect like this on the sun would be hilarious.

Lore wise, when a warping ship passes through a planet its because a warp drive is pushing the ship through a different reality in order to travel at that speed, ignoring conventional physics. Also I think that a ship that can withstand damage from missiles the size of airliners can survive being near a star. And gameplay wise, this would literally just require wasted dev time when so many things that people actually care about need to be fixed or added.

give them a bump radius, maybe?
