I knew and understood what makes us human before I turned 18 (priviliged international life).

Having said that, Im now 35 and understand it doubly better now than I did then.
I thought I was wise, but would slap myself in the past, compared to what I know now.

No doubt when Im 60, that understanding will deepen even further, and since Im too weak to slap my younger self, instead pound my head against a wall.

This stuff is good, especially considering the ironic dehumanisation of human interaction on the internet, which though it connects us, also commensurately disconnects us from real human interaction.

Look at us here, each on pseudonyms, with avatars. Sure we type text to each other, but how "human" is that.
If its any consolation, I look very much like my avatar, without the tattoo, and talk very much like I write.
Thats about as "human" as I can make it here.

I too look somewhat like my Avatar apart from the salt and pepper hair now, I believe we all need at times to step back and asses our situation to that of others and take stock of what is really important in our lives.

Maybe it shouldn't be. OOPE is where the non-trolls hide to chat to other EvE players about anything they fancy. Never understood why that should be split from GD, it just encourages this board to be used for whiny/troll topics. Things on here were a lot more positive before that one was split off.
