Sorry to hear that, glad you've come to a place where you can do that.

We all have our problems and upseting someone through thoughless and callous words can happen anytime in any situation, especially when something is still so raw, I would possibly expect you to understand that given what you have just told me.

I do understand, but retrieving pity of a broken leg sickens me.

Why not a sudoku ? A blank one, just to warm up.

I don't think the OP was playing for sympathy, she was just upset someone would seem to want to wish the pain on her.

Fair enough I say, it's one thing to scream blue murder and chat smack with the CEO of the corp your at war with, but 'drinking' real tears, not so nice.

Ouch, had a similar injury from a roadside bomb while stationed in Iraq. Best recombination from me, start moving around as soon as you medically can. Even just in a wheelchair, get some fresh air. Staying stationary the whole time is bad.

Be careful with the narcos, also. Long enough on them, you'll turn oversensitive to pain. When you go off them, the rebound pain wil suck!

Thinking of you breaking your leg was actaully a good eve moment, suppose you can relive that happening in your boredom.

You know, there's a line between the in-game culture of rejoicing in the misfortune of others, and just being a bad person. The line is not fine. Way to ramp straight over it.

If I had been seeking diversion for losing a multi-billion isk ship, then smirking at that would be fine - even if I had lost it as a result of impaired faculties due to the fact that I currently pop OxyContin like they're M&Ms. That's in-game, so it's fair game.

But acting pleased that I, a living, feeling human being, have been seriously injured? That's messed up. If it brings you pleasure that I, a person, who has done you no personal wrong at all, have been in great pain, that my bones were broken, that I spent a week in hospital, that I needed surgery so that chunks of metal could be drilled into my bones to provide even a shred of hope that I might ever walk again, that, outside of the game, unrelated at all to EVE, I have been hurt...

... there's something deeply, drastically, unpleasantly wrong with you.

welcome to the unpleasant side of EVE forums
I hope you recover well

I meet people like this out of the EVE forums all the time, trust me, they wouldn't dare to say any of this crap RL if they knew you could punch them in the face.

Forget EVE, welcome to the cowardly and pathetic side of humanity, hope the leg recovers.

Because hitting someone for something they say is a lot better. ;D Good job demonstrating that all important maturity and restraint.

In fairness, there are times when nothing quite gets the point across like a punch in the face.

To the OP, some EVE parody music And a video (watch clarion call 3 first if you haven't so you get the parody)

The new Templar One novel might be of interest to you.

I haven't read it yet but I enjoyed the Empyrean Age novel.

I liked Riverini's recap of Eve year 2011

I hope you recover and find something to help with the boredom.
