Shorter periods between updates
Csm
Longer training queues

The unlimited training now lets players just not bother logging on, whereas before they had to log on to keep an eye on it. That probably kept them doing stuff when they logged on.

Here is my 3 worst updates I can think of:

1. Heavy Missile's nerf
2. When we got the new turret sounds
3. When ships didn't blow up in a blue flash anymore.

Yay another bash EvE thread XD

Well I agree with the original drone nerf - 'one extra drone per level' on gallente drone ships + drone interfacing V allowed
up to 15 heavies. Obviously they didn't hit as hard as they do now but it was still a formidable sight and that steered me down the drone specialisation path so early.

Screw lag XD I wants my 15 drones lol

I think removing the warp to zero was maybe a step in the wrong direction. Leaving it at 15km created more tense gameplay. But I suppose with power creep and cheap/powerful ganking ships this was inevitable.
Not to mention having to buy a tonne of bookmarks for a whole region XD I guess i dont miss that side of things.

The most fun i had in EvE was in Privateers so im going to be biased and say the wardeccing nerf. Again though there are always legitimate reasons for why it was changed.

1) I really do miss the old login screen. I loved that it was a new one with every major update. the one I remember liking the most was the one with the closeup of an amarr BC (iirc) firing it's lazors. I think it's a huge missed opportunity to really show off the prettiness of the game. I can just imagine something like a stratios close up like that really capturing new players imaginations. Ah well.

2) Wormhole mass jump changes

3) Increased NPC EWAR in missions. While for the most part a good thing what bugged me with it was the fact that there was zero counter play. it was just a case of, sorry you can no longer use ship x y and z in these missions ever again because reasons. There was no modules to help counter the increased EWAR. As a player I felt like I was being given the finger by the game. There was no adapting your fit so a big missed opportunity there for giving PvE players a taste of PvP EWAR counterplay. Only slightly made up for with Marauders.

Not a bad start to a good size list. but these 3 have impacted the game the most for me over time.

The really horrendous exploration mini-game.

Apart from the constant tweaking, tweaking and yet more tweaking of drones, nothing else has really bothered me.

Did you just isolate yourself from rest of the Eve? And you are happy with everything happening. If that's the case, what are you doing in this thread?
