While I understand why...

The Police Pursuit Comet was introduced to bring back the lights which had been part of the Federation Navy Comet since (AFAIK) the ship's introduction and were lost (along with the Prowler's heart and the Viator's headlights; among others) during the first major graphics overhaul.

The Catalyst never had such lights and therefore there is no need to recreate them...

There is also the fact that the Comet is a faction ship rather than T1, perhaps when the Navy Catalyst comes in (if it isn't the Navy Algos) a Police Pursuit skin will be viable - though I'd say Navy only and CONCORD LP Store (for added irony if for no other reason).

The Kronos never had such lights either. Also, its a T2
