most of the ship/gun skills are perception then willpower, and most of the support skills are intelligence and memory. main exceptions I can think of are drones mem/per, and navigation int/per. Also they moved some skills around so they don't fit with the attributes of the other skills in that group.

for the first year I'd probably try something like +5 per +5 int +2 wp +2 mem +0 Cha. I changed my mind a lot in the first year. This isn't optimized at all and is kinda an arse pull, someone will probably be along with a better plan.

I guess the other question is how much do you plan to play the character. you can just let it sit there and train optimally for a while and then start playing with it, but that seems like a bad plan to me.

What are they at now? Remaps will become way more valuable after the first year, so try to save your bonus as you don't get anymore of those. If you can get along with how it's set now, then that might be a good way to go for the first three to six months.

Combat pilots mostly use perception/willpower & int/mem, yes. That's all I train, combat pilots.
Perception mainly for weapon training while willpower for ship training.
Likely you will spend a whole lot of time in weapons training, so imo that is the most important skill, being perception. You will likely pick up two weapons the first year, maybe even from both gunnery and missiles depending on you game focus. Between those two, that is a lot of SP, but even if for just one it's a lot.

How many T2 ships do you want to have the first year? Likely you should have a couple at least. If you plan to train a number of them then willpower starts to count more for spaceship command. If only a couple than willpower may not be very important for now.

Then you have more skills to train, mostly being int based, such as rigging, navigation, targeting, engineering, shields and/or armor. All int based.

So your best bet, and you can check this with EVEMon, you may want Perception/Inelegance max split and leave all the rest around minimum. imo this is a good first year setup for combat.

Things like trade, unless you are going to train everything to V, you will only need a couple or few of them to 4, takes no real time hit if you don't have the willpower.

But like I said, depends how it is now, if it's balanced then it may be good to leave it at that for a little while. If you are training more things other than for combat, then something more balanced may work out for you. The second year you may want to go int/mem possibly, or perc/will, or even part of the year then use your bonus remap to change it to the other. Then by your third year it won't hurt so much to stick with one map through the year, which by then you'll likely be doing a lot of x-training and find willpower more important, possibly. Just roughly though, EVE has a lot of skills, things can be a little different for you by then, and some of those skills can take over a month to train etc.

not sure if this is your only toon or your alt but if it is your only toon I will caution you that your first year you are very much all over the place. What you think you will be training in a couple month's time now and what you actually wind up training in a couple months will likely be very different.

I will caution you that if you are going to completely map out of charisma go through those skills first and get what you think you might need. The best example that I can think of is jump clones. Infomorph psychology you will almost certainly want to train up a bit.

Just an alternative point of view.
In the beginning skills train so fast there is not a lot of benefit to be had by remapping and there is a lot of benefits to not remapping.
Charisma is not the most useful attribute, however it is the primary attribute for training the social skills.
So here is what I recommend.
Look over the social skills and see if there is any of them you want to train now, if so get them trained to level 3 or 4 now.
Once that is done remap the points in charisma evenly into the other attributes and then train what ever you want to train for the next 4 to 6 months and then look at it again and remap if needed.

I dump a lot of sp into spaceship command/gunnery/missiles so that is why I posted the remap I did earlier, Literally half of my SP, more on my first alt (the one with industry stuff trained , and about half on my third, my last character has ~20mil sp and looks to be over half spaceship command/gunnery, although that includes a lot of extra SP from when they split the BC skill into racial skills. if you are going to go that route and focus more on support skills then a more int > per=mem > wp > cha style remap like the one suggested by Tau starts to sound nicer (maybe int > per > mem > wp > cha, but that might be nit picking). and then after that you might want to do a per/wp remap and start maxing out on more guns and ships.

Honestly I'd just make a skill plan and see what EFT says. get about a year of skills and go for it. I just looked at a ~500d plan on an untrained character and the remap came out memory > per, with int/cha/wp as dump stats. I think it was missing some stuff, I remember starting it to check something and just saying screw it when I hit 500 days, so take it with a grain of salt.
also it is over a year long, so some things could easily be moved around. Plus with the two bonus remaps some interesting choices could be made. Lastly it doesn't have any implants, so not sure if that would change anything.

doh I picked first year, and the skills weren't really in any important order, anyways I finished adding stuff, and for the whole plan it pretty much said all per, rest int. and well its over 700 days now. and +4s alone save 137 days.


random rant: I can't believe my former industry alt has more SP in spaceship command than I do, I have freaking caps trained!

Quite honestly, if you like combat, I see no point in doing any other profession here. Combat makes great isk (or can), it's really what EVE focuses on, so, less boring, the flow of the game. You can spend a whole lot of years just training all the subcaps alone.
