Sticky is not needed, as a player you CANNOT get your character name changed period.

CCP may request / require you change it if they determine that the name violates one of the rules or is found to be offensive, but this would be an action taken by CCP not by a player.

I am aware of current mechanics, hence the "features & IDEAS"
I believe this is an idea that has sprung up several times just as AFK Cloaking has.

This idea will never get through. It removes consequences over time for actions you have taken. The ability to change your name in an MMO would remove an sense of player history from the game.

The overriding mentality in eve is that it's OK to be an asshat and being an asshat has consequences over the long haul.

I'm not talking sec status here. That's easily repairable. I'm talking about burning a long played and well skilled spy alt. Once you enact your treachery - it should not be able to be undone with a simple name change. Spy alts would lose value.

I don't know if the OP thinks name changes are good, bad or what. He appears to be asking for a central thread to keep it from being a frequent topic (that eventually gets locked).

I could see and understand that if he added his sticky request to an existing thread. Do you really think he started a 'change your character's name thread' because he was tired of 'change your characters name' threads?
