this pretty much answers the question what will finally kill eve if you haven't figured it out yet its dust

when dust dose not have the player base they want they will make it affect eve more and more directly forcing us to play and killing this long running mmo nice work CCP and good luck sweeping dust under the rug when it bombs

It is going to be a PS3 exclusive and it is going to stay that way. There are hundreds of reasons why that I won't regurgitate as many people have already outlined them. I know all of you think it is going to fail just because the EvE community doesn't like it, but news flash, the EvE community isn't the entire world. If you check somewhere else besides the EvE-O forums, there are many critics and players alike praising Dust already. I'm not saying it is the next Call of Duty (although you never know) but it will do absolutely fine. The FPS player attention span argument is idiotic, you can't categorize 70 million people like that Roll

My main point is HTFU, stop whining, and deal with it....

The PC-only decision is probably due to benefits from the partnership with Sony and due to CCP not wanting to cannibalize the EVE userbase for DUST.
But the "No DUST on PC because PS3 users can't compete with PC users" argument took a wrecking hit for over 9000 damage by CCP strongly suggesting that keyboard/mouse will be supported on PS3 DUST.
It's really time for this argument to die.


I didn't even know that keyboard mouse option was possible for PS3. This is cool, I just got one for X-mas, so I am psyched since the idea of trying to relearn FPS game for PS3 was a daunting one, since I have played all FPS games on PC for years now and prefer it that way.

That would be unfortunate if it was like any of the CoD games. I'm hoping it is more like a serious tactical simulator, so we can have less kill rampage retards with knives running around stabbing everyone in the neck for dog tags and actual tactical realism (well as real as a sci fi FPS can get, but the none munchkin FPS gamers know what I mean). I'm thinking clan based BF 3 or Arma II, AAO style game setup vs. COD.

This again is not going to have my support either on the PS3 or in the EVE gaming.


I'm pretty sure you will have to buy most if not all your gear in Dust, that has already been discussed by the Devs in the past, so that is not really pay to win IMO.

Maybe I should have clarified that. I meant the same popularity as CoD, not gameplay. It is a horrible game Ugh

Dream on... CCP takes forever to do anything. If we even do see a PC port (I highly doubt it) it won't be out until AT LEAST 2014 (release of the PS4)...

I would also like to know if they have been released, I have also signed up but not received anything... Yet.

Luckily my girlfriend won a PS3 in her work Christmas raffle, so yay for dust! If she hadnt of won it I wouldn't buy a console just for dust.
