This game seriously needs a more robust hotkey system......

There is entirely too much "forced clicking" to get stuff done. I have been gaming for a long time, and this game is most certainly the most "robust" game i have ever played.

For instance.... There is only 7 options to hotkey drone functions. You have to go to a box, right click a group you have pre-made, find the launch option in the drop down box to launch a group of drones..... Yet, when you are done and ready to pack up, you can hotkey a "return to bay". There really needs to be a key for "launch from bay".

If not a hotkey for every specific group you make, do it like the hotkey target or align. To target you hit ctrl + click an icon. That would work just fine (not as good as setting a key to launch combat/logistic ect.) but would work just great. Have a key that works like ctrl + target only when you hold the key and click the group, they launch.

I played a LOT of Age of Empires series, and I started out clicking everything on the screen, until I learned how to hotkey. There are so many "options" you could bind to keys in this game, yet the "shortcut" lists are short and lacking. I have seen other posts on this as well, and they just get the "Learn how to not spam!" flames.

I assure you , after years of Age of Empires, Diablo, WoW, I do not need to "spam" to pull my moves off..... Only time i might spam a few is during a lag storm to make sure the command actually registers with the server.

I use the whole left side of my keyboard along with ctrl/shift to tripple my key space.

I am sure a LOT of people would love to see a more robust keybind system in this game, and would greatly enhance the gameplay more than adding that new graphic or tweaking other things. The UI in this game could use some serious tweaking, but I would be happy as hell with JUST the addition of a few more hotkey options......

100% agree +1 million EVE needs so many more hotkeys....

but for your specific example, Drone groups can now be launched by click-dragging the group name into space. Just in case you didn't know.
