You would think CCP would test patches before releasing them. But I suppose they wont notice the affect this has with login numbers seeing as they are declining daily :)

The guys at CCP dont even play EVE.... and you expect them to multibox?

that's news to me. Guess CCP Manifest faked his last video upload.

Shut down server.

Restore to pre-patch status.

Fix patch.

Deploy later.

Much better then leaving all of your customers waiting around while your devs figure out what they screwed up.

I 2nd the motion

Count me in on this thought.

+1

Why are you still trying to fix it and not done this yet?

They should leave the game like that. Not a bug, a feature.

the game would die if they did.

No you will need to make friends for someone to scout you, light a cyno, provide links...... Roll

I mean in the number of accounts that would disappear overnight. I have 3, 2 would go straight away if you could only log 1 at a time.

Come on now....sell someone the "power of two" and then make it so they can only use one account? Who's dumb idea was it to not shut down the server and roll this back until you can get the patch right?

If you're going to quote me at least use my name. Space plagiarism is a real thing and I feel triggered.

Guess that's why your a game developer for a persistent online MMO............ restoring a previous patch is like formatting Windows. you need to redownload everything and it's a pain in the a**. Except in this case they have to undo everything that's happened in relation to the specific thing they changed since the patch before they can relaunch the pre patch version.

It's disturbing how many people didn't read the last devblog where they clearly explained that rollbacks and tranquility don't always work.. or the part where they explained how they test the hell out of things on singularity but it still occasionally goes buggy on tranquility.

Current online count is pretty interesting.
So almost each person login 2-3 accounts.

Why we don't get this juicy data on your graphs CCP?Pirate

Being informed now that a patch is available.

Shut down all clients, patch, and all *should* be well. Testing now.

Hahahahaha "hiccup".....I would say more like a patch stroke. When you sell people on the "power of two" for years, something should tell you to roll back the patch when you break that power that people are paying for.

Don't fix it yet! I still have popcorn.

Okay, you can fix it... but only at your leisure, and once you've sussed out the whole of the issue.
Until then, beer and popcorn it is.

Come hell or high water, this sick world will know I was here.

Exactly! Welcome to EVE. A game filled with a complex mix of entitled manchildren and tantrum-throwing, spoiled children!
