Gagging critics by forum ban who have legitimate issues with game imbalance and metagaming problems that both ruin game experience and destroy new subscription potential is counter to CCP's goal of maximizing profits.

Gagging players who have subscribed prepaid by the year since 2006 merely because the message is negative toward current CCP game direction will put the final nail in the coffin of a long term subscriber (who has already unsubbed and is waiting on left over game time on a prepaid year only to see if a change in CCP's direction is evident).

CCP you just lost another point...

For me EVE really is about to die.

I think CCP has the right to do what they feel necessary, whether what you say is true or not. Fact is, sitting around ingame shaking your fists and stomping your feet isn't going to help player retention either.

not necessarily true. Kug-utsumen got banned off the forums AND game as did Helicity Boson tho that got overturned apparently

How come everyone just 'waits for their time to run out' instead of immediately deleting their characters and posting screencaps and stuff like that to prove that they truly have no hope for Eve?

Post pics of that and I'll take these kinds of threads seriously.

I know the OPs main and I have unsubbed as he has. We both paid for the time by the year, so we may as well wait it out and see if things change for the better.

As for forum gagging, I think CCP should be more concerned about the negative postings on third party game review boards that will inevitably result from such treatment of customers. While negative drama may be good drama nonetheless, one negative review may drive away ten potential subscribers.

I think that in most cases it cause the "critics" go off spouting gibberish in a blind rage and fury and deserve the ban cause of how they went about things.

The good critics, however, are still walking among us

While I can confirm that the Op's Alt tends to be somewhat passionate about Eve, any "gibberish" he may have spouted was certainly merited by CCP's complete indifference toward game breaking metagame imbalance issues... I should know, I hear it daily.

In any event, the results for CCP is entirely negative as there are two long term subscribers I know first hand that will become non-subscribers the way things are going and non-supporters when asked for review impressions.

Knowing CCP can and has changed its course many times before, we hang around for remaining sub time hoping to be persuaded we are wrong by new developments in the game .
