Hello

I'm a new player and having a major issue with missions which I suspect is something incredibly simple but I'm missing. I've had this with a few missions and have had to just give up and try other missions.

Currently, the one I'm doing is Athran Exigency, 2 of 5.

So I need to go to my mission location, which I do by setting it as my destination from the description and putting auto pilot on. Then when I arrive there I right click on the mission location (again, from the description) and 'warp to location'.

So far so good. The problem is where do I go now? In the bit of space I'm in now there just various stargates and stations on my overview, no acceleration gates. I have set my overview to show large collidable objects, still no acceleration gates. I don't think that is the issue anyway as I had to use an acceleration gate for my last mission and it definitely showed up in my overview.

If I right click on the mission location in my journal now it only lets me 'approach location' which just seems to take me to an empty bit of space and I fly back and forth around it.

I've tried asking in my starter corp, no one seems to know and it's realllllllllly annoying me. If someone could help I would be eternally grateful!

Barring any specific answer soon, press f12 and submit a stuck mission and ask for a reset. They usually respond in minutes for that category.

edit : darn, forgot about new ticket system. Submit a new support ticket in customer support system under "Stuck Mission".

To buck the popular trend, I began to Rage Start instead of Rage Quit.

...and every time I get another piece of Carbon, I know exactly what CCP is getting this Christmas.

That's odd, according to this video you should land right next to the gate. As Bob mentioned, you can petition that you are stuck and they can reset the mission for you.

I'm not positive (and not at home so I can't check) but I don't think acceleration gates are under LCO in the overview settings, you may have accidentally turned them off.

did you remember to accept the mission? With mission chains they usually automatically offer the next part, but you still have to accept it.

also don't use auto pilot, much faster to manually warp to gates/stations at 0.

Should be NPC's in the pocket when you land. If not then definitely submit a Support Ticket.

Since it's happened in other missions but not all of them I'd say it's a bug. From now on, don't quit the missions, just submit a Support Ticket and let CCP sort it all out.

Missions and anoms have been playing up a bit lately, I have ticketed and screenshot them and sent it in.

Solecist Project...." They refuse to play by the rules and laws of the game and use it as excuse ..." " They don't care about how you play as long as they get to play how they want."

From what you have described, I'd guess you may have forgotten to "Accept" the mission.

If you accept the mission you should be able to right click in space in the correct system and one of the options will be that mission. If you right click in space in the correct system and do not see the option you did not accept the mission.

Well I'm extremely embarrassed to say the issue was indeed that I had not 'accepted' the mission. Oops

It is kind of misleading that it appears in my journal when I've not even accepted it but lesson learned. Hopefully others that make the same noob mistake will see this and it was save them wasting as much time as I did trying to sort it.

In the Journal the mission status will be listed as either 'Offered' or 'Accepted'.

'Offered' is listed with yellow text and 'Accepted' is listed with green text.

Anyway, gratz on getting the issue sorted out.
