Scientists dispel "dirty Minmatar" myth. Jita residents filthiest.

Gallente scientists working for a public health research project for the University of Caille have released findings that dispel the myth of "dirty Minmatar".

In fact, the research shows that Minmatar, living in the Republic, have some of the lowest populations of skin bacteria !

The research was conducted as part of a project intended to test responses of interstellar organisations to disease outbreaks.

Republic Minmatar were found to have lower overall populations of skin bacteria, while Gallente were found to have highest diversity of skin bacteria populations. Amarr populations appeared to have the lowest diversity of skin bacteria.

Jita residents were found to have the greatest overall population of skin bacteria, raising concerns that the vast amount of interstellar travellers going to and from Jita could facilitate an uncontrollable outbreak of a disease.

Reasons for the differences between population groups were the subject of much speculation by the researchers involved.

"I think cultural factors, such as the importance of tattoos and displaying them, are the key here", said one researcher. "Unclothed skin is generally drier and cooler than clothed skin, and so is not as hospitable to many bacteria species."

"The Federation is a lot more cosmopolitan than the Empire. I think that explains why Gallente people have much more diverse skin bacteria populations than Amarr.", said another researcher.

"Jita. It's a public health nightmare. Someone flies in from Maurasi, sneezes in Jita 4-4, then flies on to New Caldari. Thousands, if not millions are exposed to that sneeze", said another researcher.

I'd worry less about cracking wise and more about those Drifters if I were you Blake.

When faced with fear and desperation, many use humor as a release.

While our warriors fight for our people's freedom, we in turn should fight for our people's prosperity.

Lowest diversity. Not lowest population total.

Something along lines of Minmatar have 1000 bacteria of 10 different types. Amarr have 2000 bacteria of 2 different types.

Obviously, those are just numbers to illustrate the point.

Low diversity possibly from wearing gloves or something, I don't know.

We also take baths and scrub diligently. We are also not in the habit of passing out drunk and sleeping in our own vomit.

That might explain the lack of bacteria compared to the Gallente.

A Minmatar warship is like a rusting Beetle with 500 horsepower Cardillac engines in the rear, armour plating bolted to chassis and a M2 Browning stuck on top.

The filth of the Minmatar is no myth; nor can it be measured by counting skin bacteria. The filth of the Minmatar extends to the very bone; to the very soul; every Minmatar is polluted and blackened before a holy and righteous God. Amen. Amarr Victor.

But...but Naup, I've had all my shots and it rained on me just last week.

Does this mean you don't love me anymore?

I really tire of the insult war between the Amarr and Minmatar. Since I've began my service with the State Protectorate, I've found the Minmatar I've encountered to be admirable-- if sometimes devious-- warriors, and I've long had great respect for their ship designs even if they are not anywhere near as advanced as Caldari ships. The Rifter, though now outclassed in most combat in the cluster, is a masterwork of ingenuity that's a testament to their skill and intelligence.

I would caution our Amarr allies that to underestimate the enemy is folly. Respect their capabilities, and save the insults for the bar after you've got the killmail.
