Hello,

Just a quick question that I hope some of the more scholarly among you can answer me:
In the Amarnrian faith, is there any other specific name give to God (other than "God")? (To exemplify as in the old Terran beliefs where the God had many names such as Yahwe, Adonai, Allah etc.)

*This is simply a question, the answer of which will broaden my understanding of the Amarrian Faith, I hereby present my sincere apologies if my question seem ignorant or upsets you in any way shape or form, it is not my intent.

I believe you've wandered into the wrong forum, dear. A Galnet search should give you the direction you seek.

(( backstage.eve-inspiracy.com is a good OOC resource. These forums are entirely IC, and I suspect you'll find this thread to be reported and moderated soon enough. ))

However, Gods name have never been Adonai.. thets Hebrew for Lord.
And Yahwe.. well, let me put it like this, it says YHWH in the Scripture, and we don't have the vocalization if I remember correctly.
The vocalization we have comes from a part of the Country where they had a specific dialect, so Yahwe.. meh...

No, They use the vowels from the word Adonai and put them on YHWH so that they will read the Lord instead of the name.

Claudia Amelia Testarossa Wingate Lillithella Osyn MDCXXXIV, the great Goddess of the IGS, most beloved by some, source of ire of the unfaithful, most merciful lady of New Eden, and knower of the unknowable...... The rest of the titles are trademarked by Lord Vaari......

That's besides the point and irrelevant.
The question still stands - is there another name given to God in the Amarrian Faith or is He just referred to only as God and/or (the) Lord ?

No reason to go AWOL - simple question, simple answer (if exists).

I hear the people that lives in wormhole call God Bob.
However they say it aint the same God.

But then again I've heard rumors that Bob has 2 brothers, maybe one of them exists in New Eden..

I hope that's more relevant...

We know the word "Mezagorm" means "City of God". However, we don't know how the Amarrian language works, so I'd hesitate to automatically assume that either "Meza" or "Gorm" is the Amarrian word for God.

Meza or Gorm can just mean a,,,, God. Lol

I dont think Amarrian God needs name. If its one and only, than any differentiation between gods is not necessary.

Call me crazy but I could have sworn the Amarrian word for God was Amarr.

-- "The weak of mind are quick to judge with slightest tempt; Thus fools go forth to spread false word." - The Scriptures, Book of Trials 2:13 - 2:21

--"At the narrow passage, there is no brother and no friend." - Hyasyoda Proverb

It's just "God" (whatever the base language is, it translates to that)
