After repeated failures with the same message, I walked away from the PC for a few minutes, then tried it again. No more error.

Sometimes you just need to get a cup of coffee for things to work right :)

Several attempts in.

Restarted computer once.
Restarted launcher (lost count).
Waited, hovering mouse over for 5+ minutes (twice).
Tried the other "fixes" suggested here.

Bored...

Windows 8 updated fine but Windows 10 is having the issues

Same problem here.

Launchers starts up, Login in and then stops responding.
The patch bar remains grey and need to close the launcher by using the task manager.

I am using Windows 10.

At least you have a girlfriend to talk to. I have to leave my basement to talk to me mom and the light is so bright up there....SO BRIGHT!!!!!

In the "sovereignty" tab in solar system info clicking sovereign alliance's icon does nothing. I'm pretty sure it should lead to the alliance's info page, just like it does if you click TCU/IHub owners icon just below.

Hardly a "successful" update - I'm using Windows 8.1 and the game refuses to update. I'm therefore unable to play....that is not my definition of "successful!

successfully deployed !! ?? what a joke .... i been trying for 2 1/2 hrs to update ... launcher sticks on 0% update , repair tool doesnt work , tried clearing cache , restarted computer ... total bullshit

it comes and disappears..

open journal, go to incursions, You will notice drifter incursion are now a thing. Get 24 other bodies and go farm drifters with all the cool kids.
