There are times when it seems like bastion doesn't quite cycle promptly, triggering the missile 'bug' as people want to call it. I've not seen it often enough to really pay much attention to it though.

Incorrect. CCP has already mentioned that defenders reduce the damage of the volley but do not completely destroy the volley.

A defender (70 damage) will take out 1/4 of a torpedo (280 HP).

A defender (70 damage) will destroy a cruise missile (70 HP). [Another reason why not to use cruise on a Golem.]

When grouped, a single "super missile" that is the equivalent damage and HP of the group is created. It still works the same though, losing damage when HP is lost.

The new hitpoint numbers would be:
Light Missiles: 60hp
Guristas Light Missiles: 80hp

Rockets: 90hp
Guristas Rockets: 120hp

Heavy Missiles: 120hp
Guristas Heavy Missiles: 160hp

Heavy Assault Missiles: 180hp
Guristas Heavy Assault Missiles: 240hp

Cruise Missiles: 240hp
Guristas Cruise Missiles: 320hp

Torpedoes: 360hp
Guristas Torpedoes: 480hp

What bothers me the most about this is that the issues weren't visible and/or as bad last year.

Bastion wasn't causing issues with the Golem with it was first introduced, and we've all been aware of missiles not reaching max range, and having further reduced range on an orbiting target.
However, in the case of range, the issue wasn't as difficult to determine. I knew with torps that I would usually hit an orbiting target at 56km (before bastion), which you can't be sure you'll hit outside 50km as of now even with bastion on a Golem (despite my fit having 80km jav range)
