[Succession] Support for Catiz Tash-Murkon

I think it's about time everyone knew about the modern face of the Amarr.

Catiz Tash-Murkon built a business by herself from nothing to one of the greatest wealth creating enterprises in the Empire. Revolutionary in mind and practice, she is an example of what is possible when one puts their will to it.

The Tash-Murkons are declared Udorians. Away with the thinking every race must grovel in perpetual subservitude, the Tash-Murkonites are a role model that all peoples will have their time to serve God in any capacity, so long as you put the effort in. Hard working, loyal and faithful individuals will have the freedom to rise from nothing with ingenuity, guile and entrepreneurship, backed by a devotion to the cause of God under a Tash-Murkon Throne.

Economy is important also. Trade is the life blood of any modern civilisation, and the one thing the Tash-Murkon Family is good at is trade and wealth creation. Away with the continual import of goods, and in with a new era of reformed business and export of Amarrian goods. A healthy economy leads to growth, growth leads to a rise in the living standards of those willing to seize the opportunities availed to them.

Diplomacy is another skill of the Tash-Murkons. Let us not forget the great role played by Catiz Tash-Murkon in the healing of the division of Empire and Kingdom. Trade deals and the like are also a great means of cooling tensions, and spreading ideas. With greater trade, better understanding of our faith, our culture, will spread like wild fire to the corners of the Cluster. Commerce and shared goals within go hand in hand with foreign influence and objectives.

Liberty is another strong cornerstone of the Tash-Murkons. Liberty from choking and suffocating rules that hold back the Empire. Liberty from regulations that restrict growth. Liberty from edicts that limit the ambitions of the zealous, faithful, hard working common man or Holder from rising in service of God. One with Merit should be free to Succeed. Success inspires others to Succeed. With such inspiration, we can make ever greater works in His Name.

This is not to detract from the other Heirs of course, all have their virtues in His Eyes. If called upon, I will gladly serve each of them, and lay down my last clone life by their orders. Whomever God wills to take the Throne, I will surely bend the knee in joyous service.

However, I feel it important that everyone watching the succession knows there is one who would represent the hard working ethic I know many common freemen and Holders would share. One I am to be sworn to upon the finalisation of my Citizenship, and must declare prefference for.

I pledge my ship to you in this trial, Lady Catiz Tash-Murkon, and if God wills it, may you be enthroned.

She's got my vote too.

This is great. Amarr has finally grasped the concept of democracy. Varied candidates, manifestos being published, parties declaring support for their choice.

Coming up, cluster wide broadcasts of the candidates battling for the nomination in debates (well, trials). It might be better if the losers simply suffered the more usual lampooning on late night satirical news quizzes rather than ritual suicide, but with the recent trend for losing heirs to avoid death and still be acceptable to the Theology Council, I am confident we'll soon seen this improvement too.

Now, about that universal suffrage thing, I'm sure we can help if needed.

Humanity has won its battle. Liberty now has a country.

It is so repugnant when local forum clowns as Ixiris, who were slandering Amarr Empire and disrespecting God, are getting into Amarr affairs and joke about such important matters, "declaring their support".

I wonder if he might be serious, though.

I'm not exactly an enemy, of course, but there are a few things that keep me from being really a friend to the Empire, rather than just to a bunch of Amarr. It seems Catiz Tash-Murkon would address a lot of those.

I have to admit, given my choice I'd certainly want Catiz Tash-Murkon as head of the Amarr Empire.

Of course, it's not my choice, according to the Amarr it's their god's choice. Though from what I understand about the trials lending any direct aid is forbidden.

The rules however do not say much about in-direct aid.

Lady Catiz is very smart, it would be incredible to have an Udorian on the throne.

An amazing lack of support for Catiz. =\

As someone who grew up and holds a permanent home in the Tash-Murkon region, despite making a living abroad, I support Catiz.

We should change this, shall we?

I, too, declare support for Catiz Tash-Murkon.

Catiz Tash-Murkon showed diplomatic fortitude and expertise when other heirs had anything but violence, war and despair in their minds.
Catiz Tash-Murkon and her house are the first Udorian after their reclaiming that rose into the status of an official heir family and since then has committed neither follies nor violations of faith, while at the same time driving forward prosperity and well-being of the Empire.
Catiz, her family and the entire empire under her control have been contributing tremendously to keep doors to the other great nations open and to open new doors in order to ignite and foster a steady transformation and renewal of Amarrian society and culture.

Her intellect where others only see swords and weapons, her wit where others only talk brutal and hatefilled speech, her careful considering of matters at hand when others storm forward without thinking will be an invaluable asset in guaranteeing the Empire's future prosperity and safety.

The Tash-Murkon family was also pivotal in the CAESA agreement with the Caldari State when they faced their last recession.

If Amarr is to survive, it must adapt and I would agree with others here that Catiz Tash-Murkon is the right person to spur this change.

I disagree with this ridiculous notion of champions however. The heirs should prove themselves by fighting for themselves, not having others do it for them.

But what do I know, I'm just a filthy heathen.

I understand where you're coming from, however, the true measure of a leader lies not in their own combat prowess, but in the greatness of those who chose to follow them.

The Tash Murkon's liberal attitudes and deep pockets have always made doing business with them a pleasure. I fully support Caitz to take the throne and hope it will mean more trade between the Kingdom and Empire.

Catiz Tash-Murkon is Udorian. So am I.

Therefore I endorse the idea of Empress Catiz, as the first Udorian Empress.

As it would show, just like how it is written in the Apocryphon, how All are Welcome to be Chosen, regardless of bloodline.

In that case, I would like to nominate all the Amarrians for the position..... let the ritual suicide commence.

I want to paint my ship Periwinkle.
