Back Pay for Missed Skill Points?

I get not paying for SP and I agree with it. But what about a limited buy back option?

I took 3 months off not long ago and now would love to get those 90 or so days between my activations back. And to penalize it a bit, maybe you can only do it at set times twice a year. And you can only buy back 2 months at most and there is like a 20% retrieval penalty.

I would pay the money or isk to get 80% of the SP I would have earned during the couple of months of my lapse. And this doesn't help me by paying to win. It's just pay to catch back up a little bit.

So CCP gets paid, I get a reprieve to improve and my competition out there is no worse for it. (Or maybe they'd better for it because I'd spend those points right now to get me in a marauder, that I'm a little over a month away from right now, so then you could blow me up in wormhole space all the sooner.)

Do you even remember the Jita protests or the mass unsubscribing from last summer?!? At that time, CCP only released some esthetic stuff (clothes) which didn't even had anything to do with the actual gameplay and people went outraged! You can forget your pay-to-get-sp-and-win BS!

Hi, I left for 3 years, I think that is a perfectly reasonable length of time for this to apply, as it is the length that would most benefit me, and that innately makes it reasonable. I would like to request my missing 30 million skill points as back pay now that I have decided to return. Roll

…or you can just keep your subscription going if you want to gain the SP. Problem solved.

Choices have consequences.

Why should you be rewarded with sp just because for whatever reason you're back?

What is the amount of SP you honestly think those who were there all time deserve compared to you??

Be happy I'm not the next CCP responsible because guys like you get back with fresh newb toons and 0 isk. Eve is a harsh world, there's no reason to make it easier just because you cry a little river.

Friend of mine was let go from work a year ago, why, because he called in sick too for too long. Mind you no one dissbelieved him, partly because he didn't actually call in, but came to work and was told to go home and rest up by his manager. He was out for nearly three weeks. Yeah, it sucks when that happens, but he never complained when he didn't recieve a check for those three weeks. Missing training time from an empty que sucks too, but an understandible inevitability.

On the flip side, the reason this would fail? With this, people will start saying "Why even log in? Why do I even have a skill que in the first place?" Don't get me wrong, been away (my grandfather passed away two days ago) and missed alot of training, we all have I imagine, but making this so doesn't seem to have enough meret while also having a potentially dangerous risk of exploitation.

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."
