I propose:

Once a year have a purge of highsec. make the sec -1.0 in all high-sec systems across new eden. everything and anything anywhere, titans camping jita 4-4's undock giant roving fleets burning pos's killing everything, imagine PURGE plays on your screen while your mining next to your orca. the mass amount of ships killing and being killed would probably do wonders for the economy.

Not sure if anyone has suggested this sort of thing in the past but it would be loads of fun. T3 Tearharvesters would come up everywhere.

Obviously you cant dock supers or capitals (dreads carriers rorqs) in the high-sec stations

have a reward for the most kill filled alliance/corp etc

This isn't the first time someone has come up with this original idea....

I would rather have CCP turn all of highsec into nulsec and all of nulsec into highsec and rename the game to Thunderdome.

How will anything be purged when the correct reponse for anyone other than null & wh space is just to dock..
Null space rules suit particular groups which is why those groups live in null. And others don't.

"the mass amount of ships killing and being killed would probably do wonders for the economy." - This is an isk faucet due to the isk coming from insurance. Ships are made from materials, not isk, so this is essentially converting the materials the ship was made from into isk.

No you cannot have CCP do it for you, that is the lazy way.

I think it would be a cool idea if there was one day a year when only the totally clueless people logged in to Eve and flew around high security space. Oh wait, that's called Burn Jita. Welcome to Eve, where players create their own content.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

As someone with an Industrial alt, I will take contract orders for mass Catalysts providing I can make a good profit on the deal for such an event. :P

Yeah, I was just about to say that the first time someone leaks the date and all you're gonna have is the quietest night in Eve, not the loudest.

The one time of the year when Jita is actually empty all day long and not because of a hamster going into cardiac arrest or someone setting the server room on fire again.

You and your corpies shoild consider to envade one of the null sec space and claim sov oh yes and hold it for a year. So you would cover first part of your suggestion.

Tearharvesters are the must units you should always wear with you during this year.

Yeah i think it would need to be random for it to work well, a date wouldn't do as mentioned no one would log in

Of course those sad sacks of s*** in nullsec could blast each other and really burn some ISK. just think of the happy coordination, nullsec blasts each other and highsec keeps them pack full of ships. Wow, that sounds hauntingly like the game is supposed to work so i expect CCP will keep making sure it never happens.

Yawn,  I'm right as usual. The predictability kinda gets boring really.
