Wallet Journal entry comments

One of the things that's irritated me quite a bit for quite a while is that it is quite hard to keep track of ISK streams used in different projects simultaneously. That is, it is hard to determine which journal entries should be applied where, which is a problem in several ways, especially for trade and industry.

What I would like to see happen is that basically anything that can result in a wallet change be fitted with space for a text that would end up as a comment in the wallet journal, basically like wallet transfers are fitted right now. This would include a popup for defaults for things like ratting and mission running. The mechanism should even allow for a sales transaction to have different comments for buyer and seller. Also, in the case of market orders, charges for modifying them should be commented with the same comment originally entered when the order was set up. For the sov holders this could be taken a step further, maybe allowing all charges and credits involved to be fitted with comments on a per-system basis.

This change would be fairly major but would make ISK streams much more trackable.

You already get an automatic comment that is quite good. For market orders you could use different corp wallets (I think).

That isn't my point. I would like to be able to easily break down entries by project or order within a wallet (corp or private). When I have 20 or so market orders and half a dozen (or more) T2 industrial projects going (everything from copying to T2 builds) and I'm doing things for each of them (industry charges quite a bit these days) it's really easy to lose oversight of what wallet entry is for which project. I can imagine market traders and alliance buyers loving this for similar reasons.
