Pre-scouting to see if a Corp fit even exists for me...

(An alternate title could be, "Low-SP player with 1001 dealbreakers seeking Corp...")

First the basics. I'm an older player (though I know not so much for EVE; I'm 44), live in the US in the Eastern TZ (GMT-4 now, GMT-5 during the winter). I'm low and erratic playtime. During the summer, 1-3 hours, maybe sometimes 4 per day, mostly around 5-8 or so my time. In the winter, playtime will go up as I won't be able to partake in my main hobby (motorcycle riding!).

My char has ~3.6M skill points right now, mostly focused around flying Caldari stuff + some drone skills. I'm on Eveboard; can look me up there. This is my only character and I'm willing to prove that with full API. This is my only account, but of course I can't prove that part.

Other than the weird and lowish playtime my other dealbreaker is this - I hate voice chat. Hate isn't even a strong enough word, and I don't want to rant more than I already am. So any Corp I look at will need to be the rare one that doesn't have a hard VC requirement. It just won't work out.

As far as what I'm interested in - mostly PvE (for now anyway), exploring around, etc. As far as PvP goes, I've read about the need for covert scouting and the like, and that side of things sounds interesting. So that is a role I might enjoy learning to perform. I tend to like any rare/odd/non-popular roles in many games.

"Family friendly" Corps are also of interest - not because I have kids watching over my shoulder (I don't) or because I don't like swearing/foul language (I swear like the proverbial sailor in RL), but because for various reasons I don't drink, and constant talk of blackout drinking and the like just sort of turns me off. Heh.

I'm just in the process of cataloging which Corps might fit (if any; and I kind of doubt it given my long list of "black marks" against me), in order to investigate further and decide if even signing up with any Corp at all would work for me.

Interesting,

Would you be willing to elaborate why you specificly dislike voicechat?
Do you dislike the constant talking, or is it fine with you to be around able to listen and talk only when needed? How do you envision that? =)

I would prefer not to open that can of snakes (moar dangerous than worms, you know) here - if you're that curious, PM/Evemail me and I'll rant/discuss it in private. I know from long experience, ever since VC first became "a thing" that talking about this on public forums ends up in truly epic flame wars, and it's not worth it. :)
