What will you be taxing all the various players?

A low at least to start out. 5% maybe. Don't want to take too much isk away from them. It will mean more to them than it will the corp.

The linked post is now updated with a little bit of corp info. I have worked through the night getting everything set up. Let me know what you guys think!

good luck, maybe this sort of thing is what leads noobs to death, if you dont have the knowledge or assets to do it then why are you thinking about doing it?

Once you get your corp set up, drop me a mail and I'll contract you some frigates to get you started. Maybe 50 or so depending on how many newbies you get to sign up.

It's not a lot, but it will give you a ship replacement program to get started with so they won't be so wary of PVP.

Mr Epeen Cool

I'd like to echo this, I think it's a great way for me to give a little bit back to the community in a small way. I can put up 50 Caldari frigates and 20 Dessie's, though it will take me a little time. I'm pretty low-key.

Contact me if/when you are ready for them to be started, I'd be happy to help.

Antimatter, now with more Nirnroots.

Clearly you read none of the post, so why comment?

Then you know why I created the corp. Just because I have never ran a large corp doesn't mean I don't have a ton of game knowledge. I asked for help for a reason. People reacting like this is why people shy away from creating content. Eve players teach other players they shouldn't instead of try it out and see if it works. Pretty sure no one else has attempted anything like this.

One small problem I can foresee with basing in active lowsec is player retention within your corp. What will happen is, a newbie will join your corp, fly with you for a week or even month, then discover there's bigger, more established lowsec/FW corps that have epic FC's regularly taking out large fleets etc..

I understand this is a personal project of yours, and you should definitely go for it! No not believing in yourself.
But if I were you I would join an already established lowsec/FW corp and then working your way up to director, creating friends and a name for yourself.
If people know who you are and what groups you flew with it will be much easier getting people to join you. And as with any successful company IRL, make sure you get publicity. News sites, Youtube, < insert favorite internet community >, etc.. Do something interesting and not just the same old, with a different name.

We are actually based right next to a low sec island. Hopefully CCP will get back to me at some point, but it isn't urgent. I have a week or so before things actually get rolling.

Sign me up as a director and I'll import a bunch of ore buy back infra that I have in this current corp.

New Eden isn't nice. It isn't friendly. It isn't very hospitiable. Good thing there are people here to shoot in the face.

Want to make New Eden a nice place? Try this out.

It's a lovely idea, but if you are looking for investment you need to have a plan and you need to provide more details. Most of GD react badly to this kind of thread (you are better off sticking to the right forum as well). There are lots of reasons for this, but some of it will be because you yourself have already confessed to not knowing much about starting a corp (but I may have misinterpreted what you said) and not having many assets or much isk.

If you really have a plan, have the confidence to say it plainly. People are much more likely to help you out if you can be more specific (I'm not talking about corp name here, I'm talking about corp goals).

Also, it sounds like you are going to need help with the actual running of the corp, not just the funding, if you are as unfamiliar with corporation organisation as it seems from your OP. You would do well to find individuals who can help you more fundamentally than just shoving isk at you. As always though, don't trust anyone....so pick your people well. And good luck with the wardecs and all.

He is looking for charity, not investment.

I support this endeavour. Best of luck sir.

The issue is, and to be honest, is that your corp is nothing new or interesting. There's literally hundreds of corps just like it being created every day, each one with initially high ambitions. Truth is, it's just the same old **** with a new name. But everyone wants to play space CEO of their own little corp (Despite not being suited for it).
Also, the point to starting a new player friendly corp is to already have the ISK to shower them with. Not asking for donations to start out in the first place.

Not to sound condescending in any way but it's the harsh reality of running a corp in EVE. It's not as simple as creating a guild in some generic MMORPG and getting a few people to join. However, if I hear about, or even encounter your corp in game and you put up a good fight or provide content, then I stand corrected, and might actually donate some shekels to your cause.

I am scratching my head trying to figure how an online message board can double up as a sexually transmitted disease. Also, what is the difference between absolute aids and not absolute aids? I had always thought aids was just the permanent thing. Is this like that episode of Curb where Larry talks about the "good" Hodgkins or whatever?

From your recruitment thread:

"I  am starting a program at my school that is focused on video games and as a long time player of Eve I have picked it as the learning tool I am using since a lot of people are quite interested in it as well. I have around 100 new players I am bringing to the game and really need some help financing the content costs."

What school program is that?
Learning tool for what exactly and in what form?
How did you source 100 new players?
What content costs, specifically, are you seeking finance for?
