I pretty sure ships like that need extra mobility or escape mechanism. Because everyone will hunt them and focus them.
For example, mimir(ye i know he's bad)/adrestia got some speed, moracha and chremoas got cloak+speed (also fine agility), etana and chameleon got cloak. Maleus and vangel have strong neuts as well they are fat.

So Fiend and Imp need something else: maybe extra speed with afterburners or web-resistance as said before, or extra agility and fitting to get good speed/agility with using oversized ABs. May be limited bonus to less powergrid usage by oversized AB, to not make them "fit all i want and this extra". Before you say: "OMG it's make they IMBA as ****", remember they have lasers without optimal bonus as main damage output. I'd say it's became imba with missiles like orthus's ones or may be gila's drones, but not with close range lasers with all their penalties as Kadesh point before.

3km/s with bonuses for inty is bull****, as main propulsion anyone will tacle and kill him(even a cruiser). Well old dramiel has that but she had a good 5500+ with MWD with it. 2.2km/s for a cruiser is not a much, cause alot of long webs around the tranq today and even rapier ashimmu or any other ship will burn to him and tacle him easy even w/o bonuses and overload lol. Also i agree inty need a little resistance bonus to make him viable. I pretty sure oneshotted 30b frigate isnt fun. P

Btw it's funny to be scared to make imbalanced ships when maleus on the field Big smile

I agree with OP. With stats like these almost nobody will be PvPing with them regularly on TQ, unlike the other AT prize ships.

last honest question any chance to give it a "can be repped with bubble up" mode so in fleet fight it has a chance? Im just confused on what you see a HIC doing and having a chance to live with a 150 bil price tag?

I guess it's kinda neat to have the MWD bonus on the Imp, and there is something of a puzzle to fitting it so I'll give you that. MWD is around 50% faster so there's still a good reason to fit one. I don't see too much use in your quoted faction point range though, as normal inty can do that job just fine... the real deal with Sansha is that you don't get scrammed in return so your scramtackle is very powerful rather than just suddenly stopping and resigning to your fate as you would in a normal inty.

EDIT: I'm waiting to see what Blood and Serpentis have to offer for their AT prizes, but obviously this is neither the place nor the time.

I like the Fiend, looks strong and the name is fitting for what it can do.

omfg i looked at my mails and it was 2011 that my last BS death to a DD was. I am so sorry I was very wrong and admit the hell out of it!

and thank you for clarifying the role CCP sees of the HIC as the continuation of the joke bonus role the uniques get. Makes much more sense and yes if I get one I will never use it as a HIC.

Fiend doesn't look bad (+1 med, more damage, can be made tanky), but imp looks quite lackIng. Damage output is nice but with just 4 mids it's always lacking something - mwd, ab or buffer/resists (one MSE looks poor for brawling frig with almost base resists imo).

Not 1st time one of the ships is worse than another though, so i'm happy they were improved at least this way.

By the way, are mobility stats (namely, max speed) for ship with all V char or all 0?

It's got the option to fit a 36km point that fits in a highslot, you got seven mids and a resist bonus. Really doesn't sound terrible.

These are base stats before any character skills have an effect (so at 0).
