CCP I'd like to really know what your plans are for the Ishtar. See the thing is I plan on using this hull as a heavy drone platform and would love for this hull to be focused exclusively as such. So before you screw this hull up completely, I like to give you a hand in proposal this simple solution that would balance this enigma of a hull.

From:
Heavy Assault Cruisers bonuses (per skill level):
5000m bonus to Drone operation range
5% bonus to Sentry Drone optimal range and tracking speed

I propose you make this adjustment and leave this hull along before you destroy it completely

To:
Heavy Assault Cruisers bonuses (per skill level):
5000m bonus to Drone operation range
7.5% bonus to Armor Repairer amount

Or This:
Heavy Assault Cruisers bonuses (per skill level):
5000m bonus to Drone operation range
10% Reduction to Heavy Drone Signature Radius

+1 for signature radius reduction, it would help both in pve and pvp. :P
Though i kinda see it as making the geckos even more op for pvp.... not sure..

I think they got the ishtar mostly where they wanted to get it... the big problem was the Kitie sentry shield thing

The Kitey Shield Ishtar doctrines still exist, they're just laying low for now. But once a new shield setup is standardize, they're be back in force. Which would probably frustrate the hell out of CCP to the point of just outright obliterating this hull. Before that happens I'd wanted to offer an alternative since they probably wouldn't know what to do with the Ishtar when they become an annoyance again, because of "SENTRIES".

Very hyperbolic of you, do you have a single fact to back that up?

I still use the shield Ishtar myself to rat in to great effect and so does the Goons. If I can still get good use out of it using only Heavies, only the naive would think the shield Sentry Ishtar doctrines won't make a sudden reappearance.

I think the biggest problem with Ishtars, is that they can hit things at incredible ranges whilst having too good optimals.

And I was using heavies on rattlesnakes. What is your point? Heavies do more damage and hit more reliably on most targets.

Just spare 1 mid for a drone MWD augmenter and you're good to go.

They need to remove Sentry drones from anything smaller than Battlecruisers.

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

Ironically enough, lumbering piece of gallente that is Eos is heavy drone focused platform.
Now that I think about it, it's confusing, even though technically brawler BCs shouldn't be not a thing.

In my view ishtar should be heavy drone focused, Eos/Myrm sentry focused.

Don't know about the Myrm, but the EOS definitely. CCP should transform the EOS into what the 2013 Ishtar was and leave the Ishtar/VNI heavy drone platforms. Sigh... it baffles me why they insist on leaving the Ishtar as is.

Can you please link the post where CCP mentions more ishtar nerfs so we all know what we are talking about, thanks,

Yawn,  I'm right as usual. The predictability kinda gets boring really.

There is no confirmation from CCP that another Ishtar nerf is planned. This is all from my speculation because the Ishtar still has bonuses to sentries and can still fit a formidable shield tank like this.

Shield Tank Ishtar
Highs
3x Medium Diminishing Power System Drain I
empty slot

Mids
Pith C-Type Explosive Deflection Field
Pithum C-Type EM Ward Amplifier
Shield Booster Amplifier II
Pith B-Type Large Shield Booster

Lows
DC II
3x DDA II
2x Capacitor Flux Coil II

Rigs
2x CCC II

Drones
5x Gardes ~ 540 dps @ 28km+ 30km
5x Wardens ~ 458 dps @ 93km+ 42km

This fit is 46% cap stable without using the Nos. Prop mods can be carried in cargo hold with mobile depot or can be fitted already for better sig tanking and range control. With siege/skirmish links, you looking at a cap stable 820 dps tanking Ishtar. Just imagine seeing these in 20-30 man fleets. Or worst, shield buffer fits backed by logi.

Well not quite yet, but it's getting to that point when they change the slot layout. I'm tying to help steer them in the right direction when it's time for them to huddle together on the next Ishtar nerf.

I've always felt that the problem with the ishtar is the engagement range. They should have simply removed the drone control range bonus.

Change to heavy drones tracking and speed and reduce bandwidht to Stratios bandwidth.

Its fixed.
