this is idea is more of a discussion than a suggestion

i was reading the weekly's and i noticed there is always lore and stories going on, but i always find myself struggling to care about that world since it doesnt have a very sandboxy feel to it which causes me to feel less emotionally involved in the story, i hardly ever finish the read.

idea: ccp creates a sort of 'lore news feed' that the community can interact with. they are opportunities really, they appear locally in various places in new eden. politicians and ceo's can travel around new eden in search of these opportunities and can make decisions which may or may not lead to something good. depending on how quickly they respond and the quality of their effort to respond to a piece of news will determine which direction the story takes (if ccp end up choosing you to be part of the news). for the ceo's its like a marketing campaign, you put your company resources and reputation on the line by participating/responding to the 'news feed'. ccp keeps the creative control but now they have options to include community entities if it fits the story.

CCP appears to be trying to integrate lore into the PVE side of the game - evidence the recent battle in Safizon where CVA pilots joined the Amarr navy in a fight against the Drifters. I believe this is the correct approach - more dynamic PVE content, aligned with current events in the Eve universe would be a refreshing change from the completely predictable missions and incursions we have today.
