Does anyone actually use them?

I haven't really looked at them until today Lol I noticed 1 major issue!

The heavy assault missile launchers have -100% resist
I wasn't sure if I was reading it correctly because it seems unreasonable so I put them on a ship and sure enough my total ship resist was 0% on a legion.

I imagine you will need some major remote reps or armor repairs to even have the slightest chance to survive and decent amount of damage.

I'm wondering if people actually use them? If not then why even keep them in the game?

Explains why they are only 6 mil in jita.

Try either the 'Blighted' or the 'Stigmatic' launchers. Much better resist profile.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

They are actually relatively new, and are meant to be a "fresh" take on a weapon variation. If you're going into a fight where taking any damage whatsoever is either not going to happen, or would cause an automatic loss, why bother with tank? See: various gank ships, stealth bombers, etc. And, continuing along that train of thought, if you're not bothering to fit any tank in order to maximize damage (or whatever else), what about fitting negative tank (actively damaging your own tank) in order to have even more damage?

That's where polarized weapons fit in. Their uses are few and far between, and they need to be used with care, but they do have some use.

Thanks for the comments..

I can see them being good for hit&run situations

On the legion with heavy tech 2 Dps was around 570
With faction heavy launchers it was 649 Dps
And polorized was 769 Dps I believe. Those numbers are probably off by a couple Dps
And this is with only 2 ballistic for extra damage.

Thrasher sounds like a good choice tho :-)

Heh, unfortunately a common mistake even with Vets.

Seen a few contracts out there with the wrong damage mod, from old players.

IMO make the BPCs available through invention, and you'll see more people using them...especially high sec content creators.

You can blitz L4s with them.

Yawn,  I'm right as usual. The predictability kinda gets boring really.

They are useless but guess what, they will stay in the game unlike industry teams that were enhancing (now re*arded) industry.

Fitting Corp name....

I've used polarized weapons to good effect once......it was a fight I was going to win regardless. Polarized ac's just made it faster.

That being said I would use them again.
