Which FW militia should i join?

Starting to get very interested in PVP and i want to get practice in FW before i try to join any corps (and while i skill up)

However im not that interested in joining FW for missions or LP farming, i just want to find solo fights and small gang fights to build PVP experience

Which FW militia would you reccomend for me? I like...
To fly Minmatar frigates (also enjoy the merlin)
To fly shield and small guns
To find decent number of fights (not swarms of people or very low activity)
To be with generally cool people

My first choice was minmatar militia but it seems like amarr/minmatar FW is mainly minmatar farming LP and amarr trying to lower their tiers? Gallente/Caldari seemed more active but again im new to this, any reccomendations/tips would be awesome! :D

Join the cal/gal WZ if you want more fights. Join farmatar or farmarr militia if you want to fly stealth bombers depending on which side is at T4.

Post with your NPC alt main and not your main main alt!

Is it just a question of do i want to fight drone boats or missle boats?

Both militias don't discriminate on your ship choice but they might be a bit stricter if they are flying a specific fleet composition and not flying a kitchen sink fleet.

For which side it's up to you but since I'm calmil I'll say join calmil because gallente smell funny.

EDIT:
Forgot to add but drones and hybrids are pretty common in the WZ so it'll do good to train into them. Also svipuls.

If gatecamping the entrances to the last pockets of Caldari resistance in the WZ is your thing I could point you in the direction of any of the major Calmill entities.

It doesnt really matter what side you choose , because there are farmers and pvpérs in all warzones and militia .

Its more a question of time zone and region , from what i can tell some factions have more actions in a set time zone then others , atleast imo looking back on my FW past of 3-4 years in all fronts .


And as far as region goes your just gonna have to pick what you like most ... do you like caldari for JIta and blue space background ? Minmatar cause they look badass ( from pictures of they-re lore ) ? gallente cause .. i dunno etc


But all in all its more imp if you do join a corp , that way you learn faster and get to experience the fine art of BLOB-ing that FW residents have mastered

I second this. The pirate life is the way to go if you don't want LP. You don't have to worry about your system being taken by the aforementioned stabbed farmers, and you can kill anyone you want, aside from the odd blue or two your corp/alliance may have.

Your best bet is to find a corp that is willing to take new people or pvp inexperienced people and have them show you the ropes. There are a lot of them in both warzones I'm sure. I can name a couple in the amarr/minmatar warzone as that's my particular area, but I'm 100% sure there are counterparts in the gallente/caldari warzone as well.

If you asking what side do you need to choose and you claim, that it is not LP you are loking for - join pirates. Cause hardly any real gallente FW corp will let ex-squid join them. Eve is more than just Pew pew, more than counter strike in space. Choose your side with your heart and stay with it.

Traitorous mafia-ruled sqiuds or arogant slave traders? Fine with this. But do not whine when freedom fighters will come to pop you or when your own militia will start next civil war loop. Caldari state came from the betrayal and that dress code still follows any squids FW generation.

Terrorists fighting against evil empire, to get their revenge? I was there, not much fun. Their best ppl became pirates, their numbers were doomed with plex farmers, who will switch side the moment LP store turn the tide.

Or you will HTFU and join last free men, who stand and die for human society (even if that actually mean stealing plexes from fellow militia members or support ever growing burocracy, but pssst!)?

Pick your side, make half of the high sec your enemy and get strong in noble fights, where you know what you are fighting for and not just stupid pew-pew in pirate style.

If you are joining for PvP sake ignore sides and find a corp that fits you and roll with it and you can't go wrong. You will find what you like to fly and choose to fly will change constantly as you join different fleets and stuff.

Might be worth picking caldari just so you can jita access, if that is a consideration.
