I'm a noob to Eve, but I want to make a custom build. When I used to play City of Heroes, I was the bubble guy. You know, the force field guy. Maxed out, I could do little damage but was nearly impossible to take down. What kind of ship should I get and what should I train so I have maxed out armor but with a good drone bay so I can do some damage?

I've been all over the triple med asb jackdaw, took a little while to get used to managing three tanking mods......but it is nothing short of awesome.

Tanks like crazy.

As a Gallente character, your progression for drone boats will be Tristan, Algos, Vexor, Myrmadon and Dominix. The Myrm and Domi can both fit dual armor repair for an awesome tank. If you want to spend a bit more, the Navy Vexor and Navy Dominix are significant upgrades to the base hulls. If you want to train a bit more the Ishtar is arguably the most popular ship in the game despite a couple of recent nerfs.

Other ships with huge tank and a massive bonus for drones are the Gurista pirate Worm, Gila and Rattlesnake. These are shield tank - not armor
