TIII Dessie production - all is clearly NOT created equal

So who wants all my small relics then?

I guess I should learn to read the small print.

Why is it that relics cannot be reverse engineered except at a POS?

Is that to keep budding junior industrialists out of lucrative markets?

Or simply to force players to join war-dec-able corps to get 'permision' (ie pay) for POS time?

I see now that clearly not everything is created equal, and available to everyone. Some things are kept for the privileged.

You're an idiot. Just buy a POS and some labs and do your own ****.

Roll

The markets would no longer be lucrative if there was no risk involved.

One does not have to be privileged to have a POS, one just can't be a scared little *****.

So you are saying that CCP found a way to make players work together to accomplish a goal for their multiplayer game? Sounds like it is working as intended. The same argument can be said for building super capitals.

You don't have to join anything. Just make one.

Buy a small POS, a experimental lab, and a small ship assembly array, a few days of fuel, and go to it yourself. You can even take it down when done. It takes about 15 minutes or so to anchor and online.

I've had an offline small tower in a busy system for about a year now without incident.

In Eve, as in real life, there will be things you want to do that are out of reach - perhaps you need more skill or more wealth. We set goals, work to achieve them and then set new goals. Eve isn't easy and that's why most of us keep playing.

Everyone currently building T3 destroyers faced the same barrier you are complaining about. They chose to accept and overcome that barrier.

As others have said, setting up a small POS is not difficult or particularly expensive - I'll add that you will need to create your own corporation to setup a POS.

Edit: or join a corporation that already has one.

If everyone could do everything everywhere there would be little point or profit in doing anything.

heh, Idle got a wardec from a 1 man corp a while back and I was just scratching my head as to why. after a few days a pos killmail showed up. I checked the system and we had towers on nearly every moon.

the way pretty much anyone can put up a pos nearly anywhere now means you can find plenty of quiet systems

POS guns and EWAR batteries exist for a reason. I have a high sec production POS and it has 20 guns and a scram on it, as well as 9 hardeners. No reason to ever lose a HighSec pos to a 1 man corp.

One of the things i didn't like about the Crius release was that it removed a lot of the reason to have a POS for manufacturing. Not to mention removing the barrier to having one in HS.
