Fozzie sov = failure

Look Fozzie created the system and hes running from the company before it tarnishes his reputation.

Fozzie sov was supposed to be a way for so and so tiny alliance to hold sov. LIES! Here's why. Lets say youre mr small so and so, and you hold 5 systems and can only mount a single defense fleet. SO and SO super duper BLob 0' matic comes along and fields 5 different blob fleets. Entosis links all your ****, you will auto lose 4 systems. You might be able to contest one. Let's say you can set the timer for each system. So and So super blob o matic alliance comes along and focuses its entire might on your stuff. Guess what. You're paying 15$ a month so that someone else can have fun.

And this my friend is why large groups of organized people will trump over a small band of people held together by the power of friendship.

How is reality smacking your perception that everything cannot be solved by the power of friendship. Especially if the opposing force has a larger/more friendship than yours.

Now be a good small guy and bow to your local sov overlord.

We are past the theorising stage of Fozziesov.

Provide examples from real situations to back up what you are saying, or just realise that while possible, it doesn't happen.

jesus, wtf did i just read?

Lets explain how this works:

the point of fozzie sov, is for large alliance x that is sprawled over several regions due to.. whatever to be at risk of losing space they don;t care about. Large alliances have buffer zones. these zone can enable a small, medium, or large alliance a chance to claim.

However, like dominion sov, the large alliance could be an ass and decide they want that space, and there is jack you can do about it.

It doesn't matter what sov gets made, if a large group wants it, you are dead. Thats how crap works.

In this aspect, it give a small alliance a chance at better holding 1 or two systems to build up. As you can, with a mobile force, outflank the larger alliances force and take nodes faster then they can if you took the time to build up your index's/

Fozzie sov is working as intended.

Are there issues? sure, but that would come with any sov system. does it need to be tweaked? sure. will a small alliance ever be able to defeat a large one that REALLY wants that system? nope.

If you have an issue with it, post in the appropriate feed back threads with why you think its bad, in a precise, constructive manner. or if you have an idea to fix it, go post in the sov little things thread.

TL;DR op does;t understand how how sov works.

Oh I also forgot to add.

So the biggest guy in your area is roflstomping your ass. Do you know what's the best thing to do? Contact like minded "small" alliances and band together to out blob the evil sov guy. Now you and your new friends are now the new evil sov guy with the next set of "small guys" ready to take your sov.

Let me add:

It does;t matter what sov system there is, the big guy always wins. Wormholes are a good example of this, if someone wants your space and they have the firepower or the money, you are screwed.

"Oh but lets do no sov thats the solution!"

Between the years of 2003 and the end of 2004 when Exodus came out, eve had no sov system. Know what was going on? Groups of corps in a non official alliance rules null with an iron fist. The little guys got squashed.

Thats how it works. if the big guy wants it, you are dead. Best to band with others and out blob them. This is EXACTLY what goons did VS the mighty BoB.

If you have Sov in five systems but can only field a single defense fleet, you have four too many systems. That's Fozziesov working as intended. If a giant alliance decides they want your system, they will take it no matter what you do. Fovviesov wasn't meant to change that. If a slightly larger group tries to take it, your defensive multiplier will mean you will have an easier time defending than they have attacking. Again, Fozziesov working as intended. If a giant alliance takes your Sov for no particular reason but then heads back home and doesn't bother to defend that system, for a small time investment in a few cheap ships you can take back the Sov and continue living there.
