Oh my god stop please I take it back my stomach hurts from laughing... hahahahahahaha

I'll humour you a bit though, so how big is your support fleet? Plenty of carriers and battleships on hand? I assume your alliance can afford a good size capital fleet.

(Hell your alliance must have more money than they know what to do with if they're putting you in a titan...)

Honestly if I had enough **** to burn to give him a titan I would totally do it for the lol's.

It would probably be worth it.

Here you go, OP.
You've got lots of armour in case your shields fail, all types of missiles so you can solo every target type, and an autotargeter so you can focus on being so cool and a pwnmobile rather than locking people. Have fun!

Titans aren't fun. They cannot even HIT anything below the size of Battleships (if they are lucky). They mostly only apply damage to other capitals / super capitals.

They are slow, and people will watchlist you and hunt you every single time you log in.

If you are asking which titan to get, it means you aren't in an alliance that should get a titan (or aren't in a position in an alliance where you should be getting one). You get the titan that will support the supers / caps / fleets you fly. They are less a decision a pilot makes, and more a decision an alliance makes. If you must - get the Titan your Capital director / FC recommends you get.

Alternatively, you might want to use it to bridge - in which case, it doesn't matter at all. Not even a little bit - it will never leave shields ideally.

When you buy the titan - you will likely be killed trying to get it away from where you bought it. Even with a third party - with Jump fatigue - they will know where the bottlenecks are, and wait for you to come online - then wait there in a cloaky dictor or whateverthehell those people do(which you will be utterly unable to kill alone, unless he derps).

Get a carrier. A carrier is what you want - you can make awesome isk ratting (if you are in to dodging hotdrops etc). Carrier will assist logistics immensely - though not as good as they used to. Carriers can rep stuff, carry stuff and dps stuff. They are cheap (1.5b or so?) and their insurance is fantastic. Also, they can dock. So you can switch to a different ship.

If you want to move pos fuel / other **** around, get a Jump freighter, or a Roq I guess.

Don't get a titan. You'll be sad. They aren't what you are expecting them to be. They don't kill things often - they sit around in a bubble and hope their team wins - and occasionally kill a cap. Even a dread is more useful - you can use them to PVE in Wormholes I've heard.

Edit: If you really really want a titan, and have the isk to burn - get a rag. It aligns faster! It also gives fun boosts for small-gang things. If you have this amount of isk - feel free to pay for this advice!

Thanks for the information again. The support fleet will consist of around 5 carriers, 2 dreads and a few caracals to assist with small stuff. Don't worry the Titan won't die easy. I have flown them on the test server and my piloting ability is very good.

they can hit them, the turret titans just have a role bonus that reduces the damage they do (From the traits tab on an avatar: "Turrets fitted to this ship will do reduced damage to small targets"). Tracking titans were a thing and apparently good enough at hitting subcaps that CCP put that role bonus in. The Leviathan doesn't have this bonus, as most of the gimp is built into citadel missiles. With the new missile guidance mods, rigors, flares, crash boosters, webs and painters, the citadel missiles can hit subcaps pretty well. I remember watching a vid of someone ratting in a blaster Erebus, funny to watch him volley NPC battleships.

A) We'll see how long until the Levi waits before it gets the same role bonus.

B) My objections are now satisfied. So go for it OP: get your damn titan already!

I got to. Op you should be warned....I think almost everyone here went to the nearest locator agent...They know where you are...Getting that titan will be a mistake. They'll hotdrop a fleet in and kill it. A few carriers and stuff? Uh huh....you alread said small gang so they'll bring a HELLA lot to deal with support........jus sayin

I imagine some rich nutter will have to abuse it first. That and I'm not sure there is much use of using a titan over a dread (other than lulz, which very well might do it for some).

hopefully op delivers with some awesome blap levi action!

Nobody suspecting a thing with two pages of replies already, and some even showing signs of excitement with the idea of an easy titan kill. Originally I was going to go with a nine, but the whimsical misspelling of Ragnarok made the tenth point.

So guys, I make the choice today and decided to go for the Leviathan due to that great fit I was given in this thread. I have injected the skillbook and will train it to 4. Should I train doomsday after that or missile skills?

I'm not familiar with the mysteries of endgame cap things but OP's acceptance of a triple 1600mm fit on a cap made me wary.

Hopefully OP continues to deliver, this is quality. Perhaps he can start taking contracts for POS removal?
