Hauling stuff in a freighter, with a break to go make sure those people outside with all the fireworks didn't do something to my car.

I spent my NY's night languishing in a tub of hot water with floating lotus blossoms,
and Ravi Shankar resonating through the air.
I intend to spend the entire next year
making up for it.

We must accommodate the idiocracy.

participated in a neat light show around amarr monument, why buy real fireworks when you can sit inside 20km wide torpedo explosions and lasers!

Had a nice New Years Eve Dinner with some colleagues, drank a bit, went to some party, drank some more bits, went back to the office to watch the fireworks (the balcony on the top gives you a fantastic panorama view over big parts of Reykjavik) with colleagues and went home after 1 1/2 hours, it was very enjoyable. Big smile

Fireworks were crazy, I mean like crazy CRAZY. It was going on and on and on and then even further on. They were still shooting rockets into the sky five hours after midnight. All the rockets caused massive clouds of fog and mist that the sight was limited to 200m maybe, flashes from very bright explosions were visible up to maybe 400m, but just barely. Even when some wind came up the smoke didn't clear as the firework just went on and on. Those Icelanders surely know how to properly blow up serious stuff. Pirate

Workin. Kept checking the front parking lot to make sure no one too drunk to stand up let alone handle explosives was outside with bottle rockets, a lighter, and a hell of an "idea" for a good show. Southlake be crazy like that.

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

My first sober drink free new years eve for 20 years....Sad

Spent it quietly soldering a couple of circuits I knocked up whilst hauling. And contemplating my life, the future etc and just glad I'm still occupying this time and space since the worst Christmas I've ever experienced, It's grand finale was a heart attack in the early hours of Boxing day morning...Sad

I miss the beer already. It's gonna be a tough year I thinks...Ugh

This is the first time I've experienced new years in Reykjavik sober. It was quite interesting.

Went to the office to have some good food(Props to Nullarbor for the cooking). Fireworks in Iceland start around noon, goes into the evening, brief pause around 11PM until 11.30PM where it really kicks in. Then goes nuts at midnight.

Otherwise just hang out with fellow CCPers and had a merry time. Was A+++++ would do again. Big smile

What did he cook for you? Kangaroo or Emu?

My New Year's EVE was spent alternating between the deck to watch the fireworks and my computer.

Watched eve fire works, lagged out, couldn't log on again so watch London fireworks which were previously recorded.
Sort of like a best of both worlds.

Wasted.

I was so drunk that at the end of the night I climbed into the back of a cop car thinking it was a cab. Not one of my better memories, but something to tell the grand kids about.

I need to stop typing now as the sound of my keyboard hurts my head too much.
