Yea apparently they pulled an ol'switcheroo on the CoreComplexion/Seibestor SKINs going to a dark green from that sweet black version. I feel bad for all that bought the SKINs for that reason and then logged in to find they've been robbed. I was very very close to buying it for my Talwar when it was still black, soo glad I didn't. When it comes to microtransaction money I'm especially picky on what I'm getting, even more so now after that happening.

So with the V5++ art release which went out in Carnyx the Minmatar changed the most. You can see some examples of that here: http://community.eveonline.com/news/dev-blogs/the-many-additions-of-v5plusplus/

The primary reason a lot of the Minmatar hulls changed is the rust, and there are some instances where it doesn't look quite the way art wants it to. In the next release some of these factions will be getting changes to bring them closer to their original colour scheme. Those should include Sebiestor, and also Nefantar (which got a lot darker with Carnyx).

Thanks for the reply, this is promising news. I was hoping it was something like this that caused the change instead of someone in art dep. with bias against all things Minmatar, I mean that thrasher concept is like kick between the legs #250 for minmatar pilots considering the colossal awesomeness of the new Dominix.

If it's not too much to ask, I'd also like to see a Kaalakiota Cyclone and a Thukker Mix Scorpion. If you swap the two I won't be mad.

None of the Caldari T1 ECM ships have any skins, yet :(

Minmatar are getting screwed. Nefantar are ugly, the rest the differences are so slight that in minmatar space you would have to change your corp name to [RSKIN] and hope people realized you are telling them you spent a billion on a RESKIN they would otherwise not notice even at a 1k distance.

Apparently, it is okay for the gallente to go from gross pale green to cool stuff like a quafe skin but minmatar are stuck with 'stealth' reskins that probably could only be noticed in caldari space, if there.

Speaking of the caldari, while the are far above the minmatar they are lightyears behind the cool skins the amarr and gallente are getting.

Yawn,  I'm right as usual. The predictability kinda gets boring really.

Yes, Quafe looks strikingly unique whether or not a person likes it specifically, while Nefantar looks like the rust is spread more evenly, which really just serves to remove detail rather than add any variety. Krusual is even worse in the same way, it looks like extra rust was painted on top of everything else.

Wait, what. There is actually, actual rust on Minmatar ships? Pardon my french, but why in the ****? I know it is a running joke, but before Minmatar ships were rust coloured due to the material they were built of, but they were not actually rusted. But now, they apparently are, for real?
Can I ask, honestly why would anyone do that or think that it would look cool? Sorry, I think it looks stupid. Not only that it looks stupid, but storywise it also makes no lick of sense that Minmatar could not develop spaceships that dont rust, and capsuleers of all people would afford easily proper maintenance and care for their ships.

Again, I know it is a running joke, but are you perhaps going to start adding duct tape and metal wire to hold the ships together as well then?

Is there anyway you can change the Wyrkomi skin to something...even mildly interesting? Green is cool and all, but it looks disgusting to have caldari ships be wannabe gallente ships. I would personally suggest something purple, since the only things you have in the game that are purple are LITERALLY just scorch and rail shot, and some wisps of it in gas clouds. You're literally neglecting an entire color of the rainbow in your ships and just about anything else in this game.

Please refer to this thread for more about making things purple in the game: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=433431

Is there any way we can get the Golem and Vargur skins a bit more "pronounced"?
I think they're decent skins, just the color needs to stand out a good bit more.

Meh... It looks almost good...

Make the black, blacker, and the red, redder, and we're good.

In minmatar space the darker colors dont show well, it is why the minmatar skins dont work and why i would agree that a brighter red on the golem would be nice.

Ive come up with a theory as to why the minmatar let their ships rust, its so dark here they didnt notice the ship was rusting out.

Most likely there's a running joke in which Minmatar ships are said to be rusted, and the Minmatar engineers may view this as a badge of pride, in that it references their seat-of-the-pants way of accomplishing things. Therefore, they may apply coats of paint that cause the ship to appear rusted, even more so than the original hull plating. It's not going to be real rust because tritanium does not contain iron, and iron doesn't rust in space.

Is there an official explaination why Minmatar ships are "rusty"? *looking at CCP Falcon* Like you said, metal can't rust in space. (you need oxygen)

Justice skins are boring, it takes dark paint and makes it darker. Plus it's nearly impossible to see with the minmatar nebula in the background.

Thukker skins are amazing though, WTB Loki Thukker skin.

While hard to see in space i really like the justice skins, basically it is rust removal and a fresh coat of paint.

Can we do something with the Wiyrkomi corporation? Maybe give them some black and grey along with the green to give these SKINs a bit more appeal.

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.
