CCP please leave my UI neocom settings alone.

Having downloaded the latest patch today and logged on, I find that my neocom buttons have been rearranged back to their default locations and the short cut ones removed. All of my info screens which were arranged in a particular order and place also restored back to default locations along with Aurora and her tutorials turned back on.

I accept that updates are part of the process in keeping this fine game going but please leave UI settings alone. Before I get trolled no I haven't cleared my game caches through the Eve Online launcher.

If I am doing something wrong when updating the client please let me know.

I expect to get this post deleted or locked. So much for freedom of expression.

Not sure if it works that way or not, but I thought the settings and cache folders get auto-backed up if they get reset. You are describing exactly what happens when you do just that, so somehow your settings must have been deleted, either by you or due to file corruption. I read something like that in the launcher settings under "Game" tab.

"A backup copy of the EVE client cache and settings is made prior to resetting them to their defaults. Care should be taken when employing these settings."

It doesn't say where it would have been kept, but maybe what ever happen may have generated a back up. Long shot, but maybe you get lucky. Hope it helps...
