Beating them at their own game and fielding a T3D of your own is by far the most straightforward and reliable method. Not only that but by using an OP ship you can crush other ship classes without issue. It's really not a mystery as to why the introduction of the T3Ds has caused a loss of variety across all areas of space, since theyre just so incredibly better than other ship options.

Sentinel would be your best bet otherwise, but only a highly inexperienced pilot would willingly engage one of those. Otherwise as Daniela said some sort of kite setup to leverage the higher base velocity of frigates such as a Worm, rail DD, hookbill, slicer etc would work, but you have to keep in mind that one screw up while you're chewing through the big t3 tank numbers and you'll get shredded in short work.

Their op compared to what exactly? T1 and t2 frigs? I surely hope so. To t1 and t2 Dessie's? I don't see any reason they shouldn't outclass all the previously mentioned ships.

That being said, their certainly not invincible. Several examples listed here

I think in total I've engaged 7 of em and killed 4. Not bad for a frig jockey

So u can also kill a vexor or stabber using a vengeance, does that allow T1 cruisers to enter small plexes ?? Just because ur good with all ur skills and drugs/links doesnt mean some one who joined FW with 5 mil sp can do what u do .

A simple example of what i am saying is, If u see alliance tournament rules. A T3D has 6 points same as a T1 cruiser . Whereas assault/electronic frigs are 5. Even ccp knows they are above it .

FW plexes are nice places where new players can learn in cheap T1 ships . T3D are jus ruining by jumping in them.

I don't run links scouts. I'm a true solo player.

However, in the case of your argument, do t engage the t3. Nothing keeping you planted, just leave when you see it on dscan

I think it's bull a worm, which is far more deadly, can enter novices. Always going to be that top tier ship that can enter your plex. It's up to you to take the fight or run. If not t3d getting into small sits assault frigs, combat interceptors and electronic attack ships. Always will be a bigger fish. Deal with it

This.

I am far more willing to engage T3D with T1 frigate than Garmur and Worm. Those two ships can enter Novice - even a T3D have difficulties in catching and killing them; short of the Garmur and Worm pilot screw up. A linked and snaked Garmur going 8k/s is nigh impssible to kill not even with a blob.

T3Ds are good and versatile but not invincible, far from that. I had a couple of tough and tight 1:1 matches with my Svipul against Algos destroyers, which I all won but not easy mode. Against gangs single Confessors and Svipuls are not much of a deal. I have no experience with Jackdaw and Hecate. Also I'm studying the killboards and there are a lot of suboptimal fitted T3Ds out there which could be countered the one way or the other. For example the MWD, AC, buffer fit Svipul can be countered by scram-kiting, I was once killed by a single Firetail with Arties, TD, Web and AB.

I'm my own NPC alt.

I honestly do not understand how a well flown/fit Svipul could ever lose to an Algos unless it was a low ehp arty fit getting scrammed. I engaged almost the worst case scenario Algos for me (triple neut) last night in my Svipul (Over prop, Shield boosted) and i did not even come close to hitting 50% shields without blue pill.

A linked Sentinel is about the only thing i fear when flying that Svipul outside of a 5-10 man frig/dessy gang or something silly like a Curse.

Temporary until standard fits are shared around enough.

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

Noob question how do you deal with one on a small plex? which kind of ship is better for the job ?

Depends on what kind. Hecate? Svipul? Confessor? Jackdaw? How is it likely fit? Does the pilot tend to prefer mwd, ab or 10mn ab? Do they likely have neuts? Scram/web or long point? The same fact exists as mentioned before, you are fighting the pilot and his/her tactics not just a canned ship. Use available intel, figure out how they are most likely fit and then counter it. A condor can completely own a svipul if the situation is right. In all honesty I find a worm sitting in a small plex a bigger threat than most T3's.

The Worm and Garmur eh. I completely overlooked those OP pawnmobiles. Are these Worms you fear, passive shield tanked or active shield tanked?

any t3 losing to a worm is a complete braindead individual with a garbage fit, really.

2 scenarios. if he's in scram range, he dies. If he's not, you kill his drones, any decently fit t3 dessie can **** them up faster than they can drop its tank.
