So, we have all these items in game that have generally no use.

Slaves, strippers, cattle, tourists, scientists, gate keys, militia, etc. etc. etc...

I think I may have a solution to these items, which makes them a market commodity, and gives them a use to players that removes them from the game, apart from throwing them away (which is extremely unethical)

Slaves - Can be delivered to Amarrian corporations to increase corporate standing.
Can be delivered to Minmitarian Corporations to increase corporate standing.
delivering them also gives you one mission credit.. IE, one less mission until you receive a storyline.

Strippers can be delivered to certain stations and/or random space based locations for same effect, or perhaps to receive certain boosters if delivered to pirate NPCs.

Cattle may earn you LP with certain factions.

Delivering tourists to certain locations could increase your security status a bit.

Scientists could be delivered to certain NPC factions, which may give you LP or standing.

The list and options go on and on.

My theory behind this is, either give these items function in the game, or get rid of them so they stop popping up as random useless loot in missions.

If the idea of giving the use is enticing, there would obviously need to be a bit more thought put into it than what I'm giving it.
That said, I'm just trying to start the conversation and introduce the concept.

Fluff items are nice, but they do need to separate them in some way that's for sure, so they don't mix in the middle of all your ammo and guns.
And loot should be loot or pure fluff like the sov bill for polaris. Not half way between.

I'd include them into an iteration of PI improvements. Scientists and refugees (given asylum and work) improve productivity. Militants and Marines allow for the maintenance of law and order, scientists improve Command Centre functions (more Power grid/cpu), dancers keep everyone happy (though too many and you cause unrest in the civilian population from unhappy husbands/wives/pet gimps) etc etc. Make it so you need to keep and monitor the balance of unrest/quality of life. And allow us to free slaves too as workers/citizens.

Or you could give the strippers to the Gallente... Maybe that'll make them a funnier bunch.

So you want PI to be a little Space Anno YC 116?

Maybe use them to give bonuses to services on the new structures?

How about the become some lore items to sell? Slaves could be sold to the Sarum family and freed slaves to a minmatar service.
Exotic dancers are good for everyone and give you pirate ammo in the pirate NPC stations, slaver hounds could be sold to the Emperor Family, scientists to Ishkone and Militants to the Gallente but always keep 10 of them since they are also mission items.
That could become a new market thing just like spiced wine, spirits and other stuff that was hauled back in the day.

Well, my intent with these items was to make them viable trade goods, but without the effect of creating isk.
Each of these items would need to be used for something such as LP, standing, Ammo/modules, perhaps slaves/dogs could be required by the Amarr when purchasing a Faction ship, as they need the slaves for production.

So, they would essentially become another for of an isk sink.
