So I saw an outlaw (-5.0 sec. stat) in Highsec in shuttle with a 2mil bounty on him. I locked on and tried to fire only to have Concords message pop up that I will be attacked if i continued...

I thought outlaws are fair game and also being that hes in highsec he should have been blown away by npcs?

Ok so the message i can understand but why the lack of attack by local police or concord? we were in 0.9 at a stargate with lots on patrol?

Are you sure it didn't tell you that the outlaw could fire back at you if you agressed him?

Was he red or yellow flag? I saw a red -6.7 pilot in a drake getting destroyed by cocncord at a gate in Hek, targeted him to watch his tank die, then podded him and took his awesome lewtz. Never got any pop-up warnings of any kind.

Edit: are you sure you locked him, or was it the gate or someone else, i have seen people get 'fat finger syndrome' when shooty time starts.

Goggles. Making me look good. Making you look good.

also the strong possibility that his sec showed -5.0 but was really just less that -4.95. It rounds it when you look at someone, but not when you look at your own character. In all probability he wasn't an outlaw

I has all the eve inactivity

Most likely that.

The key here is not RED flag but FLASHIING RED.

You likely saw that he had a red flag but it was not flashing.... sec ratiings can be misleading...as I'm sure we all have discovered in recent times.

As I like to say... if its not blinky blinky....don't shoot it.

Remember concord does not go after outlaws. Its the faction navy obviously depending where you are in the universe.

after seeing the replies im concluding that he was a rounded up sec status i.e. (4.95) as he was not red at all. Infact he was on auto pilot now that i think about it after noticing his speed towards the gate. Thanks for the replies
