No they are fairly easy, these people did not try to say something in chinese or korean, or even one of the slavic languages. That I would like to hear. Lol
I think the funniest sounding language is the natives language spoken by non native speaker, and heard by native.

You are in for a treat if you go to Africa. There are quite a few there who learned English from a text book and have their own complete pronunciation method for everything.

People sounds like peephole for example.

My friends 4 yr old is bilingual, he likes walking up to people, shouting foca at them and then producing his toy seal.

Much hilarity ensues because they live in rural England.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

One of my monolingual English-only co-workers once told me that Ciudad Juarez in Mexico's name means "Danger Juarez." I think she was confused by one of those CAUTION CUIDADO signs. But actually, these days the name "Danger Juarez" pretty much fits for that border town....

Of course we are.

But then "white" seems to have become quite a bit of a naughty word around some corners these days, with some people trying hard to distance themselves from it, often to decidedly hilarious results.

It all depends on how far down that rabiit hole one wants to go. centuries of cross migration and interbreeding has blurred the lines, but technically their really isn't a white race. It's a mix of races and sub races (ethnicity). North Western Europeans were Germanic. South Western Europeans were Latin (Latino). North Eastern Europeans were Aryan. South Eastern Europeans and Western/Northern "Middle East" were Caucasians. Caucasians later broke into Persians and Semites, which break further into Hebrews and Arabs. Even Asians have a connection to Caucasian.

Hispanic is Latino/Caribbean Mix, although many Central Americans nations have an upper class still dominated by people of Spanish descent, not local Indian descent and Hispanic can be loosely applied.

Mexican technically isn't a race, it's a nationality (Like American). Most Mexicans by race aren't even Hispanic or Latino. Northern Mexico are Pueblo and Hope descent, Southern Mexico are Mayan descent. But that goes for most Central and South Americans. Their national borders and have little to nothing to do with their actual genetic racial background.

"Run, rabbit run. Dig that hole. Catch the sun. When, at last, the work is done, don't sit down it's time to dig another one."

We can dig further now with DNA, and talk about which prehistoric caveman each race is related to....dig, dig, dig that hole....

Well, I was just pointing the questionnaire and how it can't deal with the fact that "Hispanic" is not a race. Speaking Spanish does not make you belong to a race.

For an instance, take Argentina. They killed their natives so well that most Argentinean look European. Massive immigration in the XXth century also helped it: There's a joke about a Argentinean who travels to Rome, opens a telephone guide and sees all the Italian surnames and says, "Dammit, it's full of Argentinean here!"...

Another instance, take Cuba. What is the color of a "typical" Cuban? No, not the more-or-less-white expats in Florida, but he people actually living in the island...

I guess that, when facing a questionanire like that, the answer is "what a silly 'murrican would think that I am by looking at my picture".

Wat.

You're digging way too deep. The question of human races is debated, but the general consensus seems to be that there are either three or four (some count native Americans as Asians), or none. We're simply not that diverse.

Not diverse enough? As Snagle pointed, it depends on how much you want to dig the hole. At one point, you'll start wondering about Homo Neanderthalis and things will get like totally weird...

(Since Asian usually are upset about a common African ancestry for all H. Sapiens, but then it turns Asian H. Sapiens hold the largest H. Neanderthalis gene load and that is absent from African H. Sapiens...)

Yeah, I suppose it comes down to the definition of the word 'race' in a human context. I'm not suggesting that there are no differences, it seems to be more about whether they're significant enough to justify that term.

Going down the rabbit hole when it comes to race discussions is an exercise in mental masturbation, since merely 50.000 years ago the ancestors of all humans were living in Africa as a single "race", and people of the different ethnicities that evolved differently when these original ancestors left Africa and scattered around the world, have been mixing with each other and will keep doing so.

(myself, I'm a mixture of Spaniards on one side, and Germans, Scots, and others on the other side - while being married to a Chinese woman - so any discussions of my race beyond saying "white" are moot, let alone those of my offspring)

That being said, imagine a video showing a bunch of Spaniards, French, Germans and Russians all struggling with the pronunciation of English words, and titling it "English words "white" people can't say".

Ehh... English comes from England, a nation originally composed of white people, just like Spain. Even if England colonized many countries around the world, and spread their language to people of different races such as those living in India, the Americas and Australia, it's still an odd choice of words.
