Corp/Alliance SKIN Licenses

It would be cool if you could buy a SKIN license for an entire corporation or alliance, so that every player in that corp/alliance could fly with the same colors. Once the player leaves the corp/alliance, they would no longer be able to use the SKIN.

Right now its not really worth the effort of having to convince every member to buy the same skin.

Plus I don't even care enough for SKINs right now to actually buy them because they are simply too limited considering the price you pay for them.

Anyway, my 2 cents.

Meh. Licenses have ruined SKINS in my opinion. A game about destruction, played while zoomed out... adds a feature that's non-destructible, only visible when zoomed in. Talk about a missed opportunity.

Corp/Alliance licenses would only exasperate the problem. -1

I agree, flying the colours of your organization in pride is a good thing.

there would need to be an income stream, so perhaps your corp gets to choose one skin and gets a discount on skin licenses but if you leave the corp, you lose your license (perhaps with the option to buy the license for yourself at market less what your corp is currently paying, at its discounted price).

I dont think corp / alliance exclusive skins is viable, if that is what we're talking about here.

Yawn,  I'm right as usual. The predictability kinda gets boring really.

I would love the fact of Corp/Alliance skins being around.

But first i think we should wait for CCP to finish its ability for us to make custom skins.....
Nothing to garish, or crazy though, like maybe 2 or 3 colors,
Base Color
Secondary Color
Trimming Color

or maybe even some cool custom engine exhaust colors.

Then simply pin the Corp logo som where on 1 side, and the Alliance on the other.....or Corp on both sides if not part of an Alliance.

A quick example: Amarr Prophecy: base = white(cream)
Secondary = Gold metallic
Trimming= all the grey'ish/steel colored parts you see there.
Allowing for custom changes to these and submitted as Corp/Alliance colors for CCP approval of a license would be awesome.

we need alliance/corp made skins and the last thing we want is to show CCP we are willing to pay for them



I remember when we all struck against CCP for implementing payable cosmetics into our pay to play game

and some how all that came from it was more cosmetics and the halting of any meaning full work on the game for years

*pinches the bridge of his noses* you do know that the cosmetic items was NOT the reason for the riots right? it was a factor, not the cause.

The riots went against not so micro transactions, expensive clothing, WIS among other things. Now, a couple of years later, not so micro transactions are fine, expensive licenses for ship skins are fine, clothing that you can only really see and experience in the dreaded CQ/WIS are also fine.

But yes, these licenses will come, they will cost a huge sum of AUR and everyone will rejoice. Fortunately enough, CCP already ruled out any skin or color variation containing pink (or a variation thereof) and I hope they stick with that.
