Hey guys,

Im here requesting some more info on these sites from those who've done 'em , if they would gladly share information ofc.

I've read all there is to read that could be found using guugal but im still pondering over the question : Are they worth doing ? Does the chance for good isk outway the risk ?

I've read some people got good isk while others crap...ofc its a matter of randomness but still.

I tried doing one so far with an ishtar but i had the wrong drone setup and couldnt break the tank on the second wave. My next attempt im gonna be using a ham sacrilege cause it can tank and hopefully deal enough dps ( pyfa says around 550 with drones ) .

I choose the sac cause its cheap-ish at around 180 mil total and would also not be such a "defenceless" target for the avarage solo hunter.

Any thoughts ?

Just because i am blond does not make me stoopid !

I've ran them in a dominix before, far from ideal for travel, but can be done. Even then it sometimes got dicey depending on how many bs spawned on the second wave. The isk you make isn't great, but you can sometimes make out if you find a good implant, a nice low grade slave omega for example is always a great find P Of course most of the time you don't find implants, just skins, and they aren't exactly worth a ton.

I'd say mostly try them out for the fun of it, but don't expect to become rich off doing them.

Standard payout from these sites is around 15-30M with the chance of implant drop driving up the reward potential. I pulled 100M worth of implants out of the first sites I ran but haven't seen any recently so not sure if they removed or lowered the % chance of implants dropping.

In low traffic systems they can be worthwhile; a passive therm/kinetic tanked Ishtar with Ogre IIs will run them in less than 10 minutes and can get out in a hurry. The cruiser rats warp disrupt and web while the standard battleships warp disrupt, both at decent ranges, however the cruisers can be popped with Ogres quickly and the standard battleships aren't much tougher. The only real difficult part is the commander BS which are identifiable as the only ones with 900k bounties (the other rats have none). Pop the weaker rats first while watching your drones for aggro (let the rats aggress you before launching); then the commander rats.

Do this for each of the 2 waves; first wave I think is mix of 3 cruisers/BS and second wave is mix of 5. A passive shield Ishtar remains even after the nerf the best, cheapest option for running these sites. You won't get rich off them but if you live in or frequent lowsec and you see these sites up in low traffic systems, there's no reason not to spend 10 minutes clearing them for 20-30M ISK and the chance of an implant. And of course the passive shield Ishtar is also the optimal tool for Serpentis AND Guristas DED sites so you should have one lying around anyway.

*Watch local; primary the pointing/webbing rats to preserve your GTFO option.

Thank you for this information. Very helpful.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

Worth doing is always a matter of luck and what you are after. The basic "fly in, shoot, loot, sell" is fairly lucrative, but compared to the risk, i wouldnt recommend doing them, especially if you have no follow up chain which requires stuff from there. The hope for "phat loot and big money" you wont find in them.

More detailed information:

Scramble and web is starting at 35 km distance.
On cloaked warp in, nothing happens. Uncloak and u trigger a timer randomly between 10 and 15 mins, then the sites disappears.
Never warp to zero. This means u are scrambled, webed and hammered.
Hammered means the ships are using suitable omni damage - the lowest of your resists will be determined and then used against you.
Never go link dead in such a site. If you do - you warp in to zero when relogging. If you go link dead, wait 15 mins, then site is vanished (timer)
Wouldnt recommend speed tank. they hit you everywhere even in 250 km distance.
Would recommend adaptive armor or shield fitting.
They dont warp disrupt. Have a microjump device. Helps you when they come too close.
Loot:
always: Covert Research items. Number is luck. can bring like almost nothing, can bring good number - up to 55 mio.
1:5 rare: Skins for ships.
1:10-15 very rare: BPC for t2 implants, BPC for depots, tractors, t2 rigs, prototype warp stuff BPC (can be 100 mio+)
1:25 Very very rare: t2 implants
Salvage, good for lowsec, have a mobile tractor with you (60 km plus)

Being attacked in there? Ya, idiots try that. Why idiots? if they warp to you, they land at zero. Rats then auto-switch to him - in case of unprepared he is toast. Else he needs something that can travel fast while cloaked. As soon as he uncloaks = autoswitch. If more than one come in - depends. Kite or flee. If kite - play with drones: rats switch to you = drone launch - rats switch to drones. Pull them in, next player in list = him.

Last advisory? Better not use E-war. Because then they become pissed and you are in major trouble, quzite no matter what you have as a ship.

Better always run with friends to be safe and quick. But then they arent lucrative.

Have fun.

I have noticed speed tanking does not seem to affect the incoming DPS.

I will say again though a passive tanked Ishtar with Ogre II's and 3-4 DDA's will clear these sites inside 10 minutes.

It's an entertaining and quick bit of content and you see loads of these things up in low traffic backwaters.

Can you confirm omni-damage? I was under the impression that they do kinetic/thermal damage like other Mordus rats.
