I had a question about singularity. The first account I had in EVE was started (stupidly) through steam. I recently re-subbed that account, and am trying to figure out how to log into SiSi with a steam linked account.

Does anyone know of a guide on this, or know how it can be done?

Or should I just give up and pay the plex to transfer him to a non-steam account?

I have heard (can not confirm myself) that there is a fairly new option to convert your steam account to a regular account if you wish.

You have to log into eve online account management and it's under the account tab. It says create username. (source: http://www.reddit.com/r/Eve/comments/3797sb/psa_if_you_purchased_eve_on_steam/ and a couple other reddit and forum threads)

Imo CCP should create a news article about this and add it to the evewiki if this indeed works.

Not what I was talking about but that is what OP is looking for should he choose to stay with Steam which his text implies he does not want to do.

This helps, thanks...that would have been the logical place to start looking.

I will try that and see if it works. I don't want to spend the plex to transfer if I don't have to, I was just looking for an easy way to log in.

You don't need to transfer off steam anymore, there is an option in account management to get a standard username & password that works alongside steam. After that you can use your steam client to login automagically as you do now, or have a second client that you use like all the non-steam people. (The second client can easily be your Sisi client.)

From that Eve Universe dropdown in the top right of this page, click Account Management. Use the steam icon on that page to log in with your steam username / pw. Then once you're in look under Account for "Create Eve Username".

Thanks. The last I checked you needed to transfer off, but admittedly that was well over a year ago
