Overlooking the fact that most of those fits are bad and do not use its amazing potential for DPS. Its just a big Cata with more mids so do with mids what you should. Blasters and add webs :)

Tracking computers and rails for PVE

If you are flying a fit that does less than 500 DPS (with blasters) you're doing it wrong. Which only one of those fits reaches and then it has a single repper without resist mods. Real bright idea...

In short just because google found it doesn't make it a good idea. Which makes making a thread on it a good one Big smile

Disregarding fits, just because they don't reach a magic threshold in DPS isn't really a bright idea either. Sure, the hecate has a great dps potential, but it is also open for other possibilities.

I have never claimed that all fits from google are good. But taking your time to do some research can often lead you to other discussions that already answer your questions. Regardless of the fit being found through your own research or through asking questions here you still have to apply your own common sense, so making a thread wouldn't nescessarily give you a better answer.

So what's your problem? You guys go to the effort of deriding the OP for asking for advice but couldn't put that effort to better use by giving said advice? Is it that you guys have no idea for a decent fit for a Hecate? If so how about skipping the thread entirely and not making yourselves look like total knobs?

As for Googling fits - why the hell should there be a need to use a third party search engine to find a third party website to get the same information/advice that could easily given right here (the festering proliferation of total knobs notwithstanding)?

If you must know i did use google yesterday but because the ship had not been out long i couldn't find anything.

I Checked Batteclinic and other sites + Googled "EVE Online Hecate Fits" and searched Week/24Hours and 1 Hour but nothing.

All i wanted was a nice fit so i could get the best outa a ship i have been waiting months 4.

Well. I still managed to supply him with 2 helpfull links. I don't mind people asking questions. They just have to be more specific than "plz giv me fit" as it would otherwise be hard to tell what he really wanted from the fits.

358 DPS cold and 13.6K structure is pretty wild. My hull tanked VNI only gets 14.3k...

It is a bit slow, blaster fit will be vulnerable to kiting. This thing might turn out to be VERY nasty with rails.

The ship does not need resist mods aside from DCU. It gets 72% omni-resist to hull in defense mode.

EDIT: So EFT shows structure EHP instead of actual HP; still near 18k total EHP which is madness for a ship that size.

The ship gets a mwd speed bonus, unlike all other t3ds, meaning when you actually get a fight you are going to be scrammed, leaving you at sub bc speed. A normal cruiser is fast then you, not to mention almost everything else, a single web comet is faster then your fit it is scram range.
