The Eve community is one of the better ones when compared to other games. Most of us are quite happy to help those who are prepared to help themselves ingame, and more than happy to help those who cannot help themselves in real life.

Ganking is a long standing part of the game, it's an economic driver and a variation on the real world tactic of attacking supply lines.

Well this derailed fast....

i'll give a serious reply.

EVE doesn;t really need a 2.0. Though a complete rewrite of alot of eve's systems to make them scale on multi core would help a lot.

EVe is already working towards this goal, and has been sense the summer of rage. Thats kinda the issue. You have people whining about lack of content, but they forget we are STILL in repair mode, and will be for a while longer. However, we have the 7th, yes 7th, verison of sov coming, structures 2.0 (finally) BIAB and Dogma rewrite, and i am sure there are other rewrites int he works. EVE will eventually become EVE 2 and then new stuff will be added. People just need some patience.


Now then, CCP should follow through with there 'New Eden" vision from Fan fest 2014. All CCP games, in the same universe, on the same platform. The problem is, they seem to be getting a tad lost in VR land. Which is fine, if it son pc and ties into New Eden.

I truly hope CCP gets on track and makes New Eden, but we will see.

While I fundamentally disagree with the entire concept of EVE 2.0, the EVE community is shockingly toxic and unless you are saying certain specific phrases you certainly can expect to get trolled and insulted. It's a growing issue. Just look at this thread. You've got people throwing some pretty heavy personal insults at you who repeatedly do that across the forum and you'll still see them posting day after day. A little aggressive moderation would go a long way.
